Finance team
Purchase Ledger (Former Employee) - Stoke Prior - 29 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedFinance team was great, both management accountants are clued up and helpful. Everyone in accounts/procurement was good to work with. The culture outside of this office is touch and go though. A lot of making someone look bad to make yourself look better from the usual suspects. Commercial Director was the biggest numpty I have ever worked with. Got told 20 times by the FD that everyone in accounts has access to view peoples wages and bonus's and it should be blocked off. Proceeded to do nothing about it time and time again, was partly the reason I left.
Pros
Early finish friday
Cons
Job Culture

Toxic atmosphere
Purchase Ledger Supervisor (Former Employee) - Bromsgrove, Worcestershire - 16 August 2023
The finance manager was a complete nightmare to work for, the office manager was spineless to take responsibility for failings of another employees attitude and had no management skills , I’ve never been treated so badly in 40 years of my working life, I faced a disciplinary for apparently rolling my eyes. Now been working for 2 years where I’ve been given 3 pay rises and feel highly valued.
Pros
Early finish Friday
Cons
Toxic culture in finance office

Commissioning Engineer (Former Employee) - Stoke Prior - 5 April 2022
I'll start with the pros, early finish Fridays, great set of lads to work with, decent hours to start, until they try and push overtime on you and if you don't take it, you're frowned upon and you're job will be on the line. I was there for a year as a commissioning engineer, a lot of people were sacked due to the pandemic however, furlough was in place by the government and your still treated as a number even though you indebted them a year with your time.

Blame culture. Not a nice place to work. Unpleasant atmosphere
Office Assistant (Former Employee) - Stoke Prior - 4 February 2022
Blame culture. Not a nice place to work. Unpleasant atmosphere to work in. Always looking over your shoulder trying to make sure you do your job to perfection for fear of reprisals. Only a handful of people were genuinely pleasant.
Pros
none
Cons
Unpleasant atmosphere Stressful

Never boring
Factory Operative (Current Employee) - Stoke Prior - 15 September 2021
Guys are fantastic. Can get a little hectic but always keeps you on your toes. Progression In the company is available, lots of departments to work in and lots to learn if you want to. Likewise you can go in do your job and go home. The people that have been there for years have lots of experience and always willing to help. If things do go wrong the guys always pull together to sort it. Everyone is friendly and gets on well with each other.
Pros
Early finish Fridays, interesting work
Cons
Can be frustrating at times (like any job)

Absolutely amazing how terrible this company is
Caseworker (Former Employee) - Stoke Prior - 3 May 2021
Awful, just awful! Very controlling environment! If you’re a yes man who hates your social life, loves being belittled, an 18hr shift warrior, likes zero respect, then this is the place for you! Otherwise, avoid this place! They will suck the life from your soul and destroy your mental health.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, bad pay, job timescales, stressful

Ok place to work
Mechanical (Former Employee) - Bromsgrove - 28 January 2020
Early finish Friday.!
Job not difficult, basic training. Pay average.
We all knew what to do but very often had to wait for parts or parts ordered were incorrect which was annoying.
Decided to go as found work closer to home.

Poor from start to finish
Electrician (Former Employee) - Bromsgrove, Worcestershire - 27 November 2019
All I can say is how as this company kept going, its dangerous, badly managed no very very badly managed!
It's like some made up soap opera, was probly the worst job I have ever had.
On the plus the guys I worked with were good solid blokes, but most were on the edge.

Productive and rewarding,
Production Operative (Former Employee) - Bromsgrove, Worcestershire - 23 October 2019
I worked at Excool for 6 months, found the work to be productive and challenging at times. They paid higher than average for the area and it was close to where I lived. Half day Friday was always a great way to start the weekend. Paid overtime was on offer many times and a bonus scheme was in place based on performance. More often than not we received the bonus. Overall I enjoyed my time in there and would go back. I only moved on as I got another job in mechanics.

Shocking how you're treated
Caseworker (Former Employee) - Stoke Prior - 11 September 2019
I'll start with the pros, early finish Fridays, great set of lads to work with, decent hours to start, until they try and push overtime on you and if you don't take it, you're frowned upon and you're job will be on the line, I was there nearly three months, in which that time they dangle a contract in your face to have it ripped away and let go because I had to have a couple of days off due to illness, all in all, you're just a number to them

Absolutely do not work here
Electrician (Former Employee) - Bromsgrove, Worcestershire - 16 May 2019
Certainly the worst company I have ever worked for. Zero organisation. Zero job security. Zero recognition for anything you do for the company. The pay is absolutely horrendous considering the amount of work you’re expected to complete in ridiculous timescales. If you have a list of qualifications as long as your arm you will still be paid as much as someone who doesn’t know how to write their own name. The “voluntary overtime” is completely the opposite of that, you will be frowned upon by the management if you do not do at least a couple of hours a week. The shop floor managers are unqualified and incompetent to do their jobs and therefore shove the blame down to the lads on the tools. If you are a qualified electrician/plumber/engineer or whatever your trade may be then they will soon strip you of your hard training you had to go through because everybody no matter what skill level is contractually known as a “factory operative” despite it being derogatory to the persons in question. Instead of giving people pay rises they give you a weekly bonus which can be taken from you at any given time as I and every employee found out when they took it away from everybody for 6 months for no reason what so ever, this being said if you know any of the directors or office staff then please do apply as you will be thrust into stardom and straight into the offices with a company car and a more than healthy wage.
Pros
Early Friday finish
Cons
Too many to name

Worst place to work ever
Assembly Operative (Former Employee) - Stoke Prior - 27 November 2018
Awfull company to work for. If the managers or team leaders dont like you, they will just get rid of you with no notice at all.
The job is Mostly using silicone guns to seal the pannels in and riveting ect....
You use worn out tools and equipment
They expect you to lift very heavy fans onto the tops of the machines with no health and safety in mind.
All the manual labour jobs are very easy, anybody could do them. The work was very much d.i.y skills and not very challenging. People was always hurting them selfs or getting injured from the lack of safety.
Pros
Short friday.
Cons
They will just throw you away, lack of health and safety

Vindictive
Assembler (Former Employee) - Bromsgrove, Worcestershire - 24 May 2018
WILL get rid of you, with little or no explanation, if you don't do the " completely voluntary" overtime, either before or after your regular working hours.
Pros
Early finish Friday
Cons
Job security

Assembler (Former Employee) - Bromsgrove - 24 April 2018
Awful place to work and expect to be laid off with little notice.
Terrible organisation and production techniques random to say the least.
Expect to work with old, worn out machinery and with little regard to health and safety.
Early finish on Fridays which is the only positive!

Early finish Fridays

No security, work is feast or famin
Welder/Fabricator (Current Employee) - Stoke Prior - 9 January 2018
Potential to be a good work place, there’s ether loads of work or non, wages fluctuate with bonuses coming and going. Hours can be long when the overtime’s on and you will be expected to do it.
Pros
Good people working on the shop floor
Cons
No security
