This was my first agency position, and unfortunately it will be my last. The interview was more of a capability assessment, nothing too difficult, however when it came to the actual job problems started to rear their ugly heads. The agency assures you that you will be working full time hours of 37.5 per week, and that plenty of overtime will be offered, however in my six montha of working with their client I only had two weeks that were full time, and I can count on one hand the amount of overtime shifts I did. When overtime was offered, it was usually cancelled.
The management weren't great, they usually had no idea what they wanted you to do, and there was obviously very little communication between the agency and the contracting company. The agency were so concernedvwith filling quotas that when there was little work available, they were still recruiting staff, giving them the same false promises as they gave me.
Pros
Same benefits as company employed permanent staff after 12 weeks, easy job
Cons
No guarantee of hours, employ people on false promises
No communication within the triangle worker-company-agency Late payments, like 6 weeks late, with way too many calls and messages Wrong information about the job offers, like 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10am for £10.26/h for am shifts and £11.69/h for pm shifts, but real shift hours was 9am to 7pm for £10.29/h. Sent for induction day and done a whole shift not dressed properly for a -2 temperature to work on. Unprofessional staff and no work ethic at the recruitment office in the way they deal with the issues, or better say not dealing with it at all, just ignore it, maybe it sort itself out Poor job offers or none at all

I worked as a warehouse operative for Euro Car Parts. I worked 4 days and they did not pay me for 1 day. Unprofessional management. No idea what they are doing. Very bad recruitment agency!
It’s a small company with higher management having little experience in managing people.
It has a blame culture where no correct accountability is demonstrated
Very rude staff and unprofessional. Poor management! They do not care about people at all and have no respect for employees. Might be sacked while sick
I am happy to be a part of this team!
Extra Personnel Walsall!
I will continue to work with Extra Personnel for the future of the year and I want to be a good driver for a long time!
I went to work for extra Personell as a flt driver was there on the first day an hour got sent home because they never had the trainer to familiarise me with a truck second day was 4.5 hours and got sent home again was told full pay for both days got £31.50 discusting company havnt got a clue what they are doing sentShome
My time at the company was never consistent, so that is why another opportunity would work best in the future. however, my payments with extra personnel was good but you wouldn't be guaranteed work unless you pushed the boat out and gradually challenged them to think you competent within the organisation.
I started on July 25th I believe, pretty sure.It was very confusing in the beginning simple because bakery is huge but quickly I got used to it and made quick progress. After 4 months I was sent to a training and completed successfully. My wage went 50p up per hour and in future I expect to go even higher of course it will also depend on me and my diligence.
I worked for Extra believing i passed the critical stage and was going to be permanent by the company just coming to 3 months and i receive a call to say im no longer needed...great pay and they do help but sudden drop on the spot isnt fair when told id be made permanent.
