EY Manchester employee reviews

Executive Senior in Manchester

difficult work life balance
No consideration of employees. Too much expectation and not well paid. At some times, it was disorganized and your career aspirations were not taken into account.
Manager in Manchester, Greater Manchester

Very challenging
EY can be a very rewarding experience but they're not very good for long term career development. The management structure is all over the place and so it is very difficult to track your progress as there are no consistent metrics from leadership. I recommend going in for a couple of years, network with your peers and clients and then leave and find a company that has better respect for its employees
Audit Associate in Manchester

Worst place to work
How about doing 20 hours of unpaid overtime every week? Remember, that your base salary outside London is only 20K. Mean people, writing complaints behind your back, awful disorganisation of clients. Quality of work of majority of people is extremely low, unlike their arrogance. Some senior manager didn`t know how to use Excel!!!!! Was ordered around to book her hotels and bring coffee and breakfasts... I cannot imagine worse kind of people and worse work culture. Staff rotation was insane as all the newcomers were leaving as soon as their contract allowed them. Would never recommend it to anyone, worst 1,5 years of my life.

Typical office atmosphere
I personally found It very boring but I feel as though it was mainly to do with my job role. Nice office clean Nice location and convenient. Good Luck
Assistant Tax Advisor in Manchester

Good workplace
Culture good for a large company. Days were usually the same but sometimes varied. A lot of red tape and processes. Management OK. Many skills gained like team working etc
