Care is what Porthaven does best and every member of staff is hand-selected for their empathy, professionalism and thorough dedication to the care, comfort and dignity of the residents they support. They share the same values as our senior management team, encouraging independence, dignity, privacy and respect.

A Porthaven home is a place to live well and Falkland Grange is no exception. Every resident benefits from their own spacious and private bedroom equipped with an en suite wetroom. There are also adjoining rooms, where couples may choose to live together whilst receiving the care and support they both need. There are plenty of communal areas too which give the home a real sense of community, including a variety of lounges, restaurants, a hair salon and an activities lounge. A private dining room for family celebrations, a café and even a cinema complete the wide range of facilities on offer at our new care home.

Living well at a Porthaven home means you have the choice to live as active a lifestyle as you wish and so boredom is never a consideration. Our award-winning leisure and wellness philosophy focuses on active ageing and so our dedicated leisure and wellness team are on hand seven days a week delivering a programme of interesting and varied events and activities to promote resident wellbeing. Hobby clubs, keep fit classes, weekly trips out in our minibus, and special events such as the annual garden challenge ensure that there is always plenty to do at a Porthaven home.

Unfortunately not somewhere that's happy

Lovely residents but the culture is difficult to work with. A whole family run every department, this means anything you say gets passed through all staff.If you enjoy working alone looking after 34 residents, working 24/36 hours straight, medication errors being hidden, no support after a passing and being used, this is the perfect place to work.
