Disappointing

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
No Training or DevelopmentNot being included in any decisions being madePoor working facilities and equipmentNo regards to hubbers health and safety ( lifting over 25kg above head and broken trolleys).Low morale and no motivation.A lot of corners being cut and swept under especial hygiene example if something is dropped on the floor it will still be sent to customers. But i would say the worst thing about this company is the hypocritical managers that claim to be there for staff but only have there own interests at heart whom set different rules for staff and them self. Working hard and being a good member of staff will get you no where in this company be aware of this. You could easily be dismissed with no notification, managers pick people for promotion for example according to there own preference not that persons skills sets.Overall if you want earn some money in a monogamous way with no future or trust in a low morale environment with mangers that use you when it suits them then go for it.

Long driving hours, low pay no unsociable hours/weekend rate. Unorganised workplace

Was great a few years ago. Loads were more manageable and there was a great management team and then the company expanded very quickly with more and more products and not enough warehouse space to cope with the demand, especially Christmas 2020. Farmdrop became a very stressful place to work. Company grew to quickly thinking of profits over people. Corporate greed has driven quality down. Not very ethical as they have more FUEL vans than electric.

Pros

Free food occasionally. Nice team.

Cons

Long driving hours. Pay not competitive with their rivals. Inexperienced management

Job is not giving any security

It doesnt matter if you wotking hard, company if anyone wants can dismiss you in few minutes for some nonsense reason. Never do overtime-you will be paid less then without. There is a lot of snitches who instead of focusing on their work are focused on reporting others. This is how they building career in farmdrop. Managers are only nice whrn they need something. Otherwise no goodmorning , no how are you etc and never ask about something what belong to you like your holidays, i had feeling I couldnt even ask about it cause I wasnt allowed to use my holidays. Cancelling holidays without any reason is normal there. Never trust anyone in this company you are just a number there!

Pros

Food

Never apply here

The worst place to work for never go there completely unorganised everyone snitches on each other and is out for them selves just to get a pat on the back. They build things against you to get rid of you once you done your hard work for them and when your no longer needed your not appreciated as a employee but a number. I'd never recommend farmdrop to anyone, STAY AWAY!

Pros

Pros? As if they were any...

Cons

Underpaying you, stealing from your paycheck, over working you, making you double shifts, building false accusations against you, planting fake evidence in vans to get rid of you... the list goes on and on

Has it's ups and downs

Farmdrop is an up and down company, in respects, from one week to the next things are always changing. Sometimes it seems that they are not sure what they want but eventually come up with an answer. Structure can be quite challenging as there are to many chiefs not enough Indians excuse the punt. There are people in positions wear they believe they should be but are very quick to pass on work load that technically they should be doing them self's, i get management are supposed to share the load but when they can't be bothered to help with simple tasks it can become a bigger issue than what it should. The company as a whole has changed a lot externally but the internals have stayed the same winging it comes to mind, but the job eventually gets done with help from those who put there hart and sole to make it happen. All this aside it's not that bad of a company just think there needs more structure and guidance and everyone being on the same page to achieve the goal that everyone wants at the company

Pros

good pay

Cons

structure

Was all Great until Covid-19

The business was great, the atmosphere was like a family and then the pandemic happened and suddenly it turned from a relaxed crowd funded company to a headless chicken corporation. Majority of management promoters to positions they are unskilled in, new managers and staff hired, new positions made up with no knowledge of how to operate them, new rules that come along with hefty threats.

Pros

Occasionally free fruit and veg, private healthcare, short shifts

Cons

Pay, management, Hr, principals, morality, route planning, work load uneven between drivers.

Not the 'grocers that you think!

This is a company that pretends to be ethical but they are not. It is a very dysfunctional place to work. The warehouse staff are nice and show good spirit. problem is bad management. Some are really good managers but the bad ones spoil it for them and that is a shame. One obvious bully just got promoted. Your work patterns are set for you the day before. The main manager seems to have no control. You cannot see him . Maybe he trust on mangers who damage the business and he doesn't know. Or maybe they don't cares because of investors money . It is ok if you need a job but the customer should know it is not ethical behaviour

Stay away

Where to start ???????? People are rewarded for doing as little as possible whereas others who passionately care are discarded. If you agree with everything manager says and cover his mistakes then you will be fine

Supply Chain Maniac

Supply Chain was a nightmare, line manager had never managed before. Constant bullying, mistreatment of staff, micro managerial culture. Great work colleagues, friendly, amazing cooked lunches and meaningful aim for the company but that doesn't mask the weak management that allowed sociopathic line managers to thrive

Do this job only if desperate

Farmdrop looks like a small amazon of food, At Enfield's headquarters everyday you can see a huge disorganization, a continuous bullying by the managers, and a great confusion about logistics and work planning, The managers seem to enjoy when drivers and pickers are in trouble and they have to scold or bully, The hours are very unsociable and you could have a delivery to a block of flats with no lift and only get 5 mins to deliver and you are penalized with the performance payment if you are late, Easy to change your shift according to the manager's sympathy, They have the strictest discipline procedures which must be illegal, They are exploiting workers knowing that they have the whole of the desperate workers to exploit and pretend to be environmentally conscious,

Pros

Canteen food, Collegues.

Cons

Too many to mention
