We are the leading transport operator in the UK and each day, every one of our 100,000 employees works hard to deliver vitally important services for our passengers. During the last year around two billion passengers relied on us to get to work, to school or college, to visit family and friends, and much more.

We operate five divisions which draw on common skills and expertise, but which are varied by geography, customer base and a mix of contract backed and passenger revenue. Our broad footprint in the UK gives us profound experience of two of the most developed markets in the world for transport services, and this breadth of expertise across different regulatory and contractual structures.

This means we can be confident that, whatever the specific transport challenge is, somewhere across our business we have already identified and implemented a solution which will work.

Coach Driver in Bournemouth, Dorset

It’s alright

It can be slow paced and relaxed sometime, but it can turn all stressful within a blink. This is the nature of the job and nothing to do with management. Leaving this aside, management seems to be uninterested at the needs of the individual(employees)

Hull Trains - good company to work for

I really enjoyed my time at Hull Trains. I found all staff to be really friendly and approachable, even the executives, which you just do not find in most companies. A real family feel to the office.

On the buses

It's what you make it. Mostly decent people using the bus. Great mix of driver's from all backgrounds. Plenty's of routes to keep boredom away. Fair pay when I was there.

Bus Driver / Conductor in Bristol

Great management and colleagues, pay not great

Great management and colleagues. Free bus travel for immediate family and shop discounts were good but long hours, poor work life balance, average pay and dealing with the general public ruined the job.

Deputy Relief Operations Supervisor in Southampton

No home/work Balance

Variety of shifts. However, doing 4 days of early duties then having a late at the end isn’t good. Management don’t seem to care about this either unfortunately.
