Good
Telephony Advisor (Former Employee) - Belfast, County Antrim - 7 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood place to work for. Employee benefits are good. Not much responsibility for what we get paid which is good. Nice staff and friendly management. Would recommend

Overworked under appreciated
Customer Service Team Leader (Former Employee) - Cardiff - 14 September 2023
Some management are great, others shouldn’t be in the position and hr have always been dodgy, if they want you out they’ll make sure it happens. Only certain managers will appreciate you achieving kpi’s or helping with additional work, the rest are very negative
Pros
Colleagues
Cons
Unsociable hours

Terrible place to work for, do not care about their staff, only stats.
Customer Service Executive (Current Employee) - Remote - 10 September 2023
The work place is terrible, we all have to take call after call, no offline teams working on any other part of the business such as complaints, emails, repayments etc. We are all made to go on the phones like work horses. Firstsource have also brought in so many different policies, it's hard to get your job right as it's easy to forget, which you will be picked up on by quality. You also get told when to take your breaks which is terrible. Terrible place to work for. Full of favouritism and lying management, including those at the top. You will be stopped from advancing if you are not a favourite. I would also like to raise the concern of first source not recognising mental health under the disability act and they do very little to support people struggling with mental health and personal issue's, including letters from the DR and occupational health recommendations.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, call after call, set break times

Mentally exhausting
Customer Service Advisor (Current Employee) - Belfast, County Antrim - 8 September 2023
Mentally exhausting place to work. High volume of calls constantly. Very a seconds peace. Get screamed at if your stats aren't good. Ignorant team leaders, treat you like an idiot. Pay nowhere near what it should be!

Laughable
Fraud Operations (Former Employee) - Middlesbrough - 5 September 2023
Can’t even begin to explain how poor the management is. Just a laughable company. The sooner they re-think their own skills and company wide management the sooner they might get a less turnover of staff who actually want to stay
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything

Customer Services Advisor (Former Employee) - Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff - 18 August 2023
Horrible “just a number” type company, management are shocking and it shows by how the company is run. No benefits at all and a really depressing place to work.

Nice people
Sales Advisor (Former Employee) - Derby, Derbyshire - 17 August 2023
People were great but the hours and management were horrific. Was accused of lying about my mental health and was told to wait on the phones for 10 minutes whist I was having a panic attack.

Hard and draining
Energy Specialist (Current Employee) - Pontypridd - 12 August 2023
Not a good experience here, so many problems the one that always stick with me is the lack of help available to you after the 3 week 'graduation bay'. There are so many complex issues customers face that we are not trained on yet we as the phone operators are expected to solve with little to none help from managers, it's literally left down to you and if you don't manage to help a customer who you've opened a complaint for, you then recieve backlash from those managers who 'can't help'. Also there is a huge lack of communication between different departments, you can usually expect a very vague response from a team that may specialise in smart meters for example (if you do get a reply at all) and again so further help us given if its needed. Its a very independent and hard place to work if you do not know what you're doing already.
Pros
Work from home
Cons
Little to no help available

Soul destroying
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Derry - 6 August 2023
Awful workplace don’t care about their staffs well-being neither do management just recently announced redundancy for current staff and haven’t even so much as gave them any idea as to what is happening , never get annual leave unless u book it a month In advance because there never is any Staff to work there currently massive call queues as they have either fired everyone or anyone who has sense left long ago , wish I never worked there most soul destroying place to exist.
Pros
Nothing worse mentioning anymore
Cons
Everything, management, unprofessional, no work life balance, no annual leave, no support

Hard work is rewarded
Customer Experience Leader (Current Employee) - Derby, Derbyshire - 3 August 2023
If you apply yourself at any role at FS, there is a lot of money to be made and also lots of progression opportunities. It can be busy and stressful at times but that’s call centre life! I’m sure lots of jobs have their own stresses

Horrible to work for
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Belfast City Centre, County Antrim - 3 August 2023
Horrible hours and management were constantly asking for unattainable targets, constant meetings for performance and all the team lost their job at the end

Do not work here
Sales Advisor (Current Employee) - Derby, Derbyshire - 2 August 2023
One of the worst places I have ever worked, management do not care about how you feel, you’re constantly being micro managed there is no place for progression as they already know exactly who they want to progress. Pay is never right, having t constantly chase your overtime hours, I’ve seen people getting paid pennies because pay roll can’t be bothered to sort it oht
