Meeting new people everyday, working with different crew daily. From check in to check out there was a lot of daily challenges for example , technical problems or first aid issue.

Nice co workers

Unless your desperate to fly as crew , look for a better established company with better pay, the trains pay twice as much and treat you much better,Good luck

Long hours, low pay

Enjoyable and challenging

Friendly and fun workplace, was like a big family. I enjoyed that no two days were the same. Most of the shifts were unsociable hours but you got used to the early get ups and late finishes.

Each day was different. Getting to mentor Junior Crew.

As a member of cabin crew you work to a roster. As a full time member of crew you worked approx 5 or 6 rolling days followed by either 2 or 3 days off. The shifts were made up of early morning, day, or late shifts. As a Senior Cabin Crew Member, you set the tone of the day, starting of with a briefing. This would include the whole crew covering, SEP, (Standard Emergency Procedures), SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), First Aid, Customer Service and Conduct onboard the Aircraft. Once onboard the aircraft you were responsible for checking serviceability of equipment and security checks, once this was all completed you prepared the cabin for the arrival of passengers. Each day was different and you had to mentally prepare yourself for anything thrown in your path. From Inflight medical, disruptive or nervous passenger. It was a job I loved, meeting people from all walks of life helping to create memories, be if the high flying businessman or the first time flyer. You had to have the ability to change, working in unison with your team.

Working with a professional Team onboard, meeting people from all walks of life, to create memories and provide a first class service.

Every day was full of variety and fun

I really enjoyed my role as cabin crew as every day was different and working with different colleagues every day, there was a lot of shift work which didn’t faze me at all as I do enjoy it and can adapt to it very well. I enjoy working with a team and having the responsibilities that go with it. I’m hard working and very reliable.

Employer went into administration

Flybe ceased trading 05/03/2020. It was a great job and one like no other. Everyday was different. You continually met new people and there was a real family attitude

Fast paced

Fast paced travel industry, competitive business with priority to do better and improve OTP and customer experience. Unsociable long hours but the moral of the staff within the business was something I will probably never experience again

busy environment

never know what to expect when starting, some days very busy start, some day quiet to start, most colleges and managers were easy to work with, I tended just to deal with my work load, Office manager very supportive

discounted flights

long 12 hour shifts

Hard work but rewarding

Early starts and late finishes, flying regional jets around the UK and Europe. Incredible people to work with, always busy with a schedule to maintain but very friendly and rewarding. Sadly entered administration 5th March 2020.

A job I love.

I have worked at flybe for almost 5 years now as Cabin Crew and I love my job. I joined when I was 18 years old and was made to feel more than comfortable straight away by my colleagues after feeling a little apprehensive. Flybe is such a friendly place to work, no matter what department you deal with or meet, you’re met with someone who’s hard working and committed. I really enjoy working here and that’s evident in how long people stay with them. With some people having flying experience of over 30 years. It’s a very rewarding role to have, with recognition and financial rewards for good efforts. Being able to go home after a shift can be very appealing for those who might want to settle down to start a family.

Enjoyable job, poor management

Enjoyable job day to day but poor management, long hours with no thanks and shocking meals that wouldn’t feed a 5 year old. A lot of bullying within the company that management are aware of but do nothing about.

safe and friendly

Flybe is full of great characters, most of whom are happy and willing to share expertise. the safety culture is one which Flybe prides itself on - and rightly so.

only pay tax on flights after 2 years with the company

Nice Company

Pretty busy daily, some internal politics stand in the way of getting things done. Enjoyable part of the job was the people. Hardest part was work/life balance
