Door Supervisor (Current Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 18 November 2021
If your looking to get into security work or already in the sector, look no further than Fortess security. A company that’s will look out for its staff where your more than just a number. The job culture within the company is drama free. Wages through paye and always paid on time without the hassle or chasing the money we work so hard for. Strongly recommend and can’t say anything negative.
Pros
Wages, uniform and travel
Cons
N/a

They promise you the world. But run you into the ground
Electrician (Former Employee) - Kilmarnock - 5 December 2019
You are given 8job sheets to do in 8 different towns and have to fill in 10 different forms for each job, completed or not. If not, you are Hounded by the girls in the office (even though you are more experienced and qualified than the 30 staff together!). Which adds hours onto job 1. Now "What have you been doing?, you have another 7jobs booked?.

good jobs badly organised
Electrician (Former Employee) - Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire - 4 March 2018
Working with fortress was different from most companies.
The contracts they had were decent ones really good jobs, however the management team that were in place were absolutely shocking to work with would not recommend this company to work for . The guys who own the company are decent guys who do try help where possible. shame they hire certain people to run things for them

Working for fortress
Labourer/Driver (Current Employee) - Brierley Hill, West Midlands - 5 September 2017
a typical day involves in doing the job hardest way possible with tools that sometimes don't seem safe and equipment that also don't feel safe to use, nothing enjoyable about the job.
Cons
expected to do long hours without being asked if okay to do so

Excellent fun productive
security guard (Former Employee) - Clydebank, SCT - 12 August 2013
It was long hours but i enjoyed my time their, it could be very isolating at times being on your own for 12 hours a night 7 days a week. I would start by doing my paper work what was on the stic site do my checks make sure everything was their that should be ie machines etc. I learned that i could work well on my own. The hardest part of the job was probably in the winter as it was so cold. I found it drove me and i got great job satisfaction as nothing ever got stole when i was on site
Pros
Good money
Cons
long hours
