Great team to work with

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Learned so much through the training they offer. Great team to work with, very knowledgeable and honest, take time to show new starters how and what to do.

Fun work place

Friendly staff and management care homes that I get sent to are always nice to work for .training is very and the trainers are good . The hardest part of the job is when someone passes away always sad .it is good that you get paid weekly . I normally work nights at a couple of homes so you get use to the residents and the staff . And I like it because they prays me on how good I have done yes sometimes it is difficult at first when you don't no names of residents but most of the times the normal staff look after us and a nice to us

Good work place

Fosse is absolutely amazing with my university hours if I need to change my house they will let me do this at any time. Lovely carers to work with on the double runs.

Amazing workplace and supportive

I have been with fosse for 7 years and I wouldn’t ask for a better work place , environment or people to work for. Everyone I work with at fosse are kind and so supportive even in my future goals that I want to achieve and I know fosse will help me get there with their support. Fosse are an amazing company to work for and I am honoured to be working for them.

Pros

Flexible, supportive

There's nothing exciting about the people there.

Inadequate shifts spread across several days. You end up wasting your whole day for 30pounds daily. You don't get paid enough for the commute to a service user's house. The office staff really don't care and they are so patronizing when they want you to work outside your agreed hours . They make rules without consideration for the walkers.

Pros

zero

Cons

inadequate shifts

Supportive office staff and friendly care staff

I’ve been at fosse for about two years and the office staff are really supportive. When I started working there I knew nothing about care and now I know lots. Whenever I have questions about something that I’m not sure about the staff are helpful and go through it with me so that I fully understand. The hardest part of the job is that you can get people that are on palliative care or that are lonely and have no family. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the people we care for happy with the care they are getting. As long as I’ve done my job and the service users are happy with it then I’m happy with it. Fosse makes you feel confident in what you’re doing and they give out really good praises and rewards .It is definitely a company I will carry on working for and exceeding my skills. I highly recommend Fosse

Cons

Pays not the best and long hours

Not the best in the world but okay

Nèeds a lot more work to understand the meaning of diversity and inclusion. Would be nice if the company could live up to its promises during induction.

Pros

Long hours

Cons

Lack of inclusiveness

Great job, don't feel we are paid enough

The job is great although I don't feel we are paid enough for what we do. Could be little more organised, management could be more involved in seeing how an employee is getting on and making sure all problems are dealt with straight away.

Pros

The hours

Cons

No time for a break, not a lot of time in-between visits

Lovely place to work.

Training is always up to date, get a set run to help you and the service users. I go to work and go home with no stress. You learn something new everyday, the most enjoyable thing about my job is seeing a smile on the service users face knowing you have made a difference to their day.

A very stressful job with little or no support from the office . Rota never been done weekly but daily.

The Coordinators was not very supportive towards the carers and care staff were generally treated as the lowest of the low. The call always added last minute without giving notice. The call never been done weekly and show up daily. Sometimes you need to chase them to ask if you have work over the week because you can not see anything on your Rota. When we were poorly and asking for day off the office refused and still forced us to work or when we needed help the office had no support and do not care. The coordinators was not always truthful with staff so the culture there was one of low trust and suspicion.

Management do not care about there workers

lack of communication with management , they dont care about you , if there is a problem your always wrong , dont get no second chances talk and look down at you if someone has a problem or even if you telling them the truth they dont believe a word your saying , 100% THEY DONT CARE ABOUT HELPING THERE WORKERS , IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU SAY , THEY ALREADY MAKE THERE MINDS UP ABOUT YOU , CARE SHOULD MEAN CARE ON BOTH SIDES

awful company. Jealous mangers who do not help progression. Do not support individuals who have disabilities

Managers do not listen to good employees when they have good knowledge. Managers are jealous of TUPE staff wages. Managers do not allow employees progression. Awful atmosphere. Need to be in with the click crowd otherwise you are not noticed and are belittled.

Awful workplace

Did my interview in October and didn’t get a single full day shift in the 3 months I was there. Would cancel calls on me last minute without telling me. Tried to put me out of area on hours that weren’t apart of my availability. Wouldn’t follow My available days on/off and would argue I was suppose to work certain days when my written availability said different. Bad management. Didn’t say the real rate of pay on the application or interview and failed to mention you only got paid for the call time even tho you would complete several different tasks in 15-30 mins and only get paid a few £. Told me I’d be able to get my desired hours several times but when it came to my last day they said I wouldn’t be able to get them in my area.
