A fabulous working environment.
Negotiator (Current Employee) - Central London - 13 September 2023
No two days are the same, with a plethora of learning opportunities from experts in the industry. People are experts in their fields and great company. A day at work is hard work, but great fun.
Pros
Amazing culture, people and opportunities.

This is a cult
Rare and Short Lettings Negotiator (Former Employee) - London - 16 August 2023
Rules apply to some and don’t to others, very frustrating and toxic environment on the day to day basis. They’ve recently started employing very young people with no morals, no work ethic and lots of attitude - which completely ruins the positive vibes between everyone. They brag about giving you a company car or the best commission structure in the industry but at the same time you have no work-life balance, and you pay the fuel and car taxes from your salary. Also, 20 days holiday per year with working 5/6 days a week seems a bit unfair. They made us work the bank holidays in May in some offices as well. I could go on and on but I guess the best way to summarise it is - trap. Once you’re there and you taste the money, you are in a toxic trap, literally a cult.
Pros
Good managers, nice rewards if any, good start to the industry
Cons
Long hours, low pay, toxic, lack of morals

Great job for top earners
Estate Agent (Current Employee) - London - 20 July 2023
A great place to work if you can sacrifice the social life. A low basic salary, which is topped up with phenomenal commission can mean very fluctuating months for income. 5-6 working days a week, with 7pm finishes means that you will have very little time for a social life.

Great training
Tenancy Manager (Former Employee) - Chiswick, Greater London - 4 July 2023
Brilliant training and development opportunities. Lots of team building and events. Management can put on lots of pressure at times but overall a good place to work.

Some amazing people in a horribly brutal routine
Sales Negotiator (Current Employee) - London - 19 June 2023
Working for Foxtons can be hugely rewarding and if you are built to withstand an 08:30 till 19:00 day at full tilt then you might love it. The general culture set by the directors is not great, they can be a domineering presence in the day and will scald you for even the smallest of things. Some offices have a wonderful culture and those are the ones that do the best so if you are planning on working at Foxtons, make sure you go to one of the highest grossing offices. The days are very structured and can get very monotonous, the amount of time spent on the phone trying to book viewings is brutal. You spend usually a total of 5 hours in the office every day making calls and sometimes you will just want to bang your head against a wall, the goal is 60 calls a day which doesn't sound too bad, but after 2 months of grinding our calls, everyone has a bit of a crisis and either quits or stays on and finds themselves trapped in the career. The issue with the job is that, if you hit your targets, you can quite easily hit £60K a year, when you make that, you can't move into another job as any other starting salary is going to be about half of that.
Pros
Company Car, Great Training, Management can be great
Cons
Extremely long hours, Pushy directors, Awful end of month meetings

Toxic enviroment
Lettings Negotiator (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 6 May 2023
The job can either be good or a nightmare, my team leader made me cry several times by ridiculizing me in front of people. The pay is not great for the amount of hours you work.

Not a very suitable place to work for
Yard Assistant (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 1 May 2023
Not very nice place to be work and typically worked very long hours for minimum pay. Not worth the journey to travel and low pay makes it worse. Wouldn’t recommend for

overworked and underpaid
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 1 May 2023
terrible place to work, overpaid and and overworked, all that management cares about is sales and if you don't reach a certain target goal you are immediately shunned

Toxic and long hours
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Marylebone, Greater London - 2 April 2023
Earning potential however the company is pretty toxic and their policies apply to some and don’t to others. Facial hair is not allowed unless it’s a full beard as I refused to shave my moustache and got let go for “performance” even though I was number 2 in my office, out of 6 agents. What’s worse is a colleague in another office at a valuer level has a moustache and is completely fine. It’s all about who is the managements favourite

Useless interview
candidate agent (Former Employee) - Chiswick Park Station - 28 January 2023
Had a first interview by phone and was said i was perfect for the job. Was sent to Chiswick headquarters for on site interview with other 50/60 people (All expenses on me). Entering the building you could feel the stress. Very competitive place full of young people. Beginning presentation on how their company is better than everyone. Then you have to talk about yourself or your inspiration in life which seemed odd and didn't give space to tell your previous experience in the field. Then 2 group exercises which are real estate related and you have assessors walking around, grading how much you shout even if you aren't an expert. They just care that you are loud I guess but don't care if you make logical points. Then they send you out in the cold for 1h, no water offered, nothing. You have to figure it out yourself. Then you come back and in a very visible and awkward way they separate the ones that got a follow-up interview from the ones who didn't in two separate rooms. The salary offered is not good for London and it is a very competitive job where they select a LOT of people. Not sure about the quality of the selection. The impression I had from the beginning was that I would not want to work there.
Pros
they give you a car after a week if you get the job
Cons
stressfull

Awful company to work for
Letting Support Consultant (Former Employee) - Chiswick, Greater London - 19 January 2023
Extremely low salary, lots of company politics. The colleagues that you meet there will be your only reason for staying, making friends for life. However, the management make things very difficult. The constant turnover of staff means there is not enough people to do ALL the work required. Overworked and underpaid and there is no recognition for going above and beyond.

Not recommend to a friend
Sales negotiator (Current Employee) - London - 15 November 2022
Will sting you when you leave and take your commission through deductions. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend, average pay even when hitting and exceeding targets.

They will work you to the bone…
Sales Negotiator (Former Employee) - London - 2 November 2022
An awful experience… having to spend most of the day cold calling people, you are constantly monitored on performance and how many calls you make in a day. Constantly required to go to pointless group meetings outside of your own area (1.30hr drive ) to the other side of London at your own cost. They will not provide fuel costs for viewings or these pointless meetings, there is zero work life balance. We don’t even get time to eat lunch. People coming and going is a occurrence at foxtons as they will drop your wage after 6 months. They will work you to the bone and drop you unless your willing to sacrifice all your hours in the day…
Cons
Zero work life balance

Avoid
Lettings support consultant (Former Employee) - Chiswick, Greater London - 31 October 2022
Avoid, they waste all your time sending you on interviews and phone calls to basically ghost you at the end of all instead of saying to you that you wasn't accepted for the position, I'm not bitter I didn't get the position but as candidates we expect something a bit more professional and to feel appreciated that we did try our hardest to get the role, its very very unlikely you will get accepted there as its too much competition, just take my advice and don't bother as they waste your time and air you ..

Good eye opener
Lettings Negotiator (Former Employee) - London, UK - 17 August 2022
Good just for some experience not a stable place to work long term It’s good if you’re very young as you get some good perks and you will need the energy to work around the clock as hours are very long

Interview to to long
Trainee Estate Agent (Former Employee) - Chiswick, Greater London - 6 July 2022
You go for a group interview expecting to be a group of 10-20 people, but when you get there is about 40 people to compete , they do some activities in group and ask some questions while some managers watch you and take notes. After hours doing that they send you for an one hour break. When you come back they select 10 out of 40 to go to one to one interview with the same manager, they ask few questions, the one I spoke was very friendly. They send you home and say that you need to wait for a call to let you know if you will be chosen to go for the third interview or if is the end for you. I don’t know how many people they choose out of 10(I was one of them and they didn’t choose me,also some of the other was sitting there) .. all I know is that they make you waste a lot of time for nothing because your chances of getting hired are minimal possible! ..so don’t waste your time!
Pros
Friendly fake people
Cons
Many hours wasted

Love working here.

I really enjoyed my time at foxtons. It’s very well paid and every day is different. Would benefit offering part time work. That’s the only reason I left.
