Interesting and fast paced
Long hours, high pressure environment. No two days are the same. Often short staffed. Be prepared to be moved from your permanent ward if you are needed elsewhere

No care for employees
FHFT raves about the health and wellbeing of their staff, it is all a front. Everything comes down to the service needs. Get your employees needs sorted then they may keep staff to give good service needs. New electronic patient system, is complicated, non- user friendly, non-medical friendly and non- admin friendly. They should have not spent such millions on a system that is American. The previous systems were not broken so why spend a ridiculous amount of money on a system that is quite frankly complicated and non-user friendly.

Great teamwork
Frimley Park Hospital is a good place to work. I am currently changing job because I am moving to more affordable area - if not that I would not live that trust, at least for some time. It is stressfull to work in the NHS, no matter what trust, ward and county, the pay is everywhere the same and it is not really enough. My ward managers are doing their best to keep patients safe, ward well organised and staff happy. My team is the best, we have a strong sense of belonging, we always help each other. The hospital invests in a good quality cannulas and dressings. Bed managers put lots of pressure on us unfortunately, which does not make sense, as it is not our fault there are no beds in the hospital. Their behaviour gives us lots of stress and they are often very rude. There is no such thing as a perfect place to work but despite of the struggles I recommend working there.

Pretty good
-Busy days - whether thats bank or contracted hours - which is good if you need to take on extra shifts -Staff parking is easy and accessible -Good warm food options for vegetarians-Kind and welcoming colleagues, like a family -Can get really fast-paced depending on the delivery timings from London of samples, so may need to stay extra (although this is not a requirement, extra pay tho!)-Sundays double pay, and increased pay nights.
Radiology Department Assistant in Frimley
on 11 August 2022
Minimum wage for maximum work
Unsupported, over worked, many staff untrained and not been CRB checked. So many staff members suffering with mental health issues and stress, with no help, support or understanding from managers.
