Basic money driven company that cares very little for the customer or contractors that they hire, management had little knowledge of the workings of low tier. Very blinkered approach to it support

Fun Workplace
I as a PA and I really enjoyed my job but the difficult part was my line manager was based elsewhere and the Directors I supported were not allowed to manage the PA's. This type of system does not work. You need the Director you support to manage your day to day activities.

work wise a reasonable company
worked there over 20 years so know a lot.The jobs are good and bad like any other, mainly left alone to get the job doneOne of the main draw backs you will find is wages, say you have 4 grade 3 Field engineers, one will get paid £15,000, another £17,000 another £22,000 and lastly £30,000, these are all same level engineers doing exactly the same job, why are the wages all over the place? They do enjoy pie charts, they like to collect data on everything, statistics on how fast you do a job to how fast you go to the toilet, but then there is a heck of a lot of managers to find work for, multi tiered system. when I first worked there I had one manager and only saw him about every 3 months to give feedback, became a running joke as we always beat targets and never had any issues, was just an excuse to get chat. about 5 years later I had a change of manager, who himself had a manger, we hardly spoke and everything carried on as normal, later they had another manger, that's three, then another, I actually lost count of who I reported to, a year so later, six people who had little to do with my day to day work all wanting reports, Why?I've left now and don't know if the company is still TOP HEAVY, but assume it will be.Having said that the work is great while they leave you alone, but its annoying to file so many reports for stuff I never could see much point in, just looked to be jobs for the boys, get matey with a manager and he'll make you one LOL

Abhorrent Cataclysmic Wormhole
Please take this from a sucka that has worked almost 5 years in Fujitsu (Globe House SPoC). Management are selected as part of an inner circle of friends and have no people or technical skills. You are thrown into the deep end. After your interview they ask if you can start next week with no consideration. You are a number, not a person. Do not expect any assistance from dumbfounded management, no matter how high. Do not expect good decisions to be made regarding services for the desk. Want to be exposed to Covid-19? Feel free to join FJ where they do not clean desks and do a desk move every single month. Also, good luck progressing if you arent friends with the managers. Bad pay, bad IT systems, no sense of direction. Reactive not proactive work environment. DO NOT get sucked into this amalgamation of mindless workers like me. Also you get paid in peanuts. Peanuts without the nut and just the shell.
