A good stepping stone
Swimming Teacher (Former Employee) - Surrey - 24 June 2021
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedA good place to work if you are happy in your position. However, there is very little funding put into staff development or growth. Most of the teams include some lovely staff, but the turn over is quite high as with most leisure centres.
Pros
Free use of facilities for staff
Cons
Career progression is difficult

Awful.
Assistant Manager at Tottenham Green Pools and Fitness (Current Employee) - Tottenham Green, Greater London - 31 January 2023
awful environment. awful management. too busy covering their mistakes and scheming staff out of money. every month massive issue with pay which takes MONTHS to resolve, if it ever does get resolved. very clicky. managers have more important, unrelated work situations which take priority over the business.
Pros
no idea
Cons
no lunch break. long hours. pay is always short.

Very large company all about profit
Aquafit instructor and studio cycling Instructor (Current Employee) - Wells - 9 November 2019
Fusion took over from Avalon Leisure in June 2015 (wells, street and frome in Somerset) I was an Avalon Leisure employee and very happy and content in my perfect job. However, Fusion came crashing in making it all about profit, working on skeleton staff, working staff into the ground, not keeping on top of the maintenance of the sites. Very poor management. Not the site managers fault, they have no power

Vibrant place to work
n/a (Former Employee) - Snailwell, Cambridgeshire - 16 November 2018
I had some great fun working at Fusion and the perk of travel was brilliant. It is a very fun team, and because it is such a small team you are able to get involved in every part of the business - very much all hands on deck.
Pros
Kitchen for making food, travelling
Cons
No advancement opportunities

inside sales rep (Former Employee) - Lount - 22 October 2018
Good to work for - hard to get progression though.
This is probably the case with all large corporate companies though.
The people are nice that you get to work with though.

Constructive and community workplace
Lifeguard/Leisure Assistant (Former Employee) - Kempston, Bedfordshire - 27 June 2018
Good relations between all staff, general morale was very high and teams worked well together.
Some problems arose due to most staff being young between the ages of 17-22 due to problems with wanting time off, but was generally resolved effectively by management.

Produced and work place
Team Leader (Former Employee) - Weald, Kent - 28 September 2017
Fusion as company offer a good produce as a company and training for there staff and have a high standard of health and safety, pay high salary if your working in the London boroughs, but this is not right across the board as in some local contracts depending on the location salaries can be lower as they are outside the London areas and reflect on this.
The places are very nice to work as some of the site are brand new and like any new buildings they have teething problems and also changeless which is good because if you are starting with a new building/ produced you can mould and shape how you want to run it and how you want to make it inviting to the public to come in and use the centre and not just the public, but staff, friends and family.
Pros
being able to the facilities for free
Cons
feels sometimes like your on a bus mans holiday as your always there.
