An okay place to work

The most useful review selected by IndeedIt was fun mainly due to the group of staff I worked with on the floor, the management needs working on as there are many egotistical managers who make the workplace an unhappy place to work. It was fun but needs improving.

Agency offered numerous opportunities to work at different venues and consistent work however their Human Resources and administration is quite slow and gave difficulties.

Miserable place to work not very welcoming

The main head chef I worked with was so miserable (preferred to work in silence) and put me on edge constantly. Was very clear they took a dislike to me and can't see why how I did all was asked of me! My face clearly didn't fit! Worse work place I've ever been. Policy was no phones allowed in the kitchen. This rule didn't apply to them. Or always lots of things to do in office once manager had gone. just an excuse to be out of the kitchen, in my opinion. Spoken to abruptly, I'm not work shy and willing to do most things asked of me, but there's a way to speak to people to get what you want from your staff.

Fake caring

If you have confidential issues to talk with management about no chance. Colleagues know about it before you even leave the managers office. All management are friends so you will never get impartiality but a lot of do as i say not as i do attitude.So many gimmicks and fake wellbeing objectives from head office. If only they tried half as hard to ensure these work instead of just ticking boxes to look good on paper.

Safe work place but some improvements needed when it comes to pay

Wonderful and friendly staff and working within this company provides many skills in which I can take into future jobs but the only down side pay is received when promised, I get that payment needs processing but been waiting for wages for 2 weeks even to I was meant to get paid last week on Saturday.

Not wanting to leave yet

I work for Gather & Gather at Sky and I can honestly say it's been the most comfortable I've felt in a job in a long time. Gather & Gather have a range of personalities, backgrounds and diversity and all staff members are nothing but welcoming and friendly. Usually after a year or so I get bored of a job and want to move on but this is the first job I've visioned working at for a long time and not waking up I the morning not wanting to go in.

Favourite Job Ever
I always thought I’d hate working as I never found a job I enjoyed but working for this company changed my mind. Although I wish the pay and hours were a little better I absolutely adore my job and the team. You get amazing holidays (I work term time) and you can earn overtime. Ive made some of my best friends through working here. The managers and all of my co workers are unbelievably kind, understanding and thoughtful. If I ever have an issue there is no doubt I can talk about it openly and without fear. I genuinely look forward to coming into work and I could not recommend it enough. Obviously I can not speak for all sites however I can’t imagine there is a bad one :)

Dreadful management and kitchen team, way too much work for the pay with zero chance of advancements. Lack of training as well as broken equipment. Constant breaches of health and safety regulations as well.

Unfair pay

Unequal pay. £3000 per anum difference for same jobCertain people are favoured unfairly.Confidentiality is non existentManagement are atrocious. The higher up they are, the less they care.No incentives at all to work hard. Staff are treated like disposables.Regularly get paid less than worked and sometimes not even on time!Overworked and underpaid.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Good company to start

Gather and gather it’s a good company to start you career in hospitality but there is no progression or benefits, I don’t think they pay enough for baristas, it’s always short staffed and they expect you to work all the weekends.

You will always get made to feel like you are not good enough when working here, there's always something that you are doing wrong. Rules change every 5 minutes and you don't get informed of these changes. Management and supervisors are bullies.People are too worried about leaving early and coming in later. You will always get threats of an ROD. You will not get a peaceful day off you will alwyas get messages on group chats on what you done wrong.You will always feel like your job is on the line

Terrible company, don't even bother with them

Don't waste your time with this company, they don't care about you whatsoever, I worked just about every minute I could have done including unsociable hours, never allowed to eat, lucky if I could sneak a smoke break though I'd normally have to make an excuse like taking the rubbish out, also having half an hour pay docked everyday for the break I never got, good luck if you want a job here

As quoted by a previous employee I fully agree 'Overall a great place to work but you get zero support from your management and the more you do the more they push on you until your at a point where you can no longer competently do your job.' Management look after themselves at a cost to yourself. Holidays and thank you gifts from the company are offered then taken off you with an apology.. As long as the management are looked after anyone under them need to be careful you are all but a number after all.

Casual and fast paced workplace

Casual staff at gather and gather is great - can work whenever I want and have no obligation to pick up any shifts which is perfect as a uni student. The staff are great and there's loads of different types of shifts that you can pick up e.g. kiosks, kitchen porters, bar work. There was no interview, just send off your CV and attend an induction where they tell you everything you need to know. Good pay and free food on most shifts.

No obligation to give you work - can go a couple of weeks without shifts.

Laid back place to work

Working in the football stadiums Kiosk is very laid back- team leaders always kind and supportive if you are not too sure about your role. Very social place to work, after working there for a while you will recognise many people as you are constantly working with new people you don't know.

If there is any food left at the end of the shift you are able to have it.

Shifts can be denied quite often without reason
