Good company 20 yrs ago. For hardworking young people they can "mould" to what they want, there r good opportunities to progress although normally no alternative but to start from bottom

Great place to work
Security Officer (Current Employee) - East Sussex - 16 August 2023
People are friendly and very helpful, would definitely recommend shift patterns are a bit hard to get used to at first but you do get used to it fairly quickly.

Unproductive and lonely.
Airport Security Officer (Former Employee) - Horley - 3 August 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Pay was good for what the job entailed What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Constantly being monitored by CCTV and having to find TIPS while screening. Trying to sleep at 5:00pm to wake up at 12:30 am for a 2:45 shift. Working with unhelpful team members who quite frankly were rude and had no costumer service skills. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Environment is like being in a prison which was run like a factory. Long hours and unsociable too. Employees which have been there for more than 3 years acted superior and rude. The loneliest job I have ever experience in my 40 years of working. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Tiring. Back breaking at times. Run like a factory where you are rotating between roles every 15-20 min. Breaks are decent But when the job is done it’s done. Go in work and leave.

High standards, operationally driven
Head of Recruitment, Training and Leadership Development (Former Employee) - Gatwick - 3 March 2023
Gatwick is a good place to work with high standards in the operation, attractive pay and benefits and a "can do" approach. Worth noting most roles are frontline and involve working shifts.
Pros
"Can do" approach
Cons
Task focused

Fun workplace
Check-in Agent (Current Employee) - Gatwick Airport - 5 February 2023
The shifts have some weird hours and if you don’t have a car the Trăind can be a pain too. But apart from that, it’s a nice environment to work in.

Stressful, fast paced
Team Member, Pret a manger (Former Employee) - Gatwick Airport Station, West Sussex - 29 May 2022
If you enjoy a fast paced environment this isn't the worst place to work. It could often times be overwhelming due to scale of customers and poor communication between coworkers resulting in argumentative conversations within the workplace.

Jobs at Gatwick Airport Limited
It was good pre covid
Aviation Security Officer (Former Employee) - Gatwick - 8 May 2022
It was a good earning job compared to the average outside jobs. Wages were good, staff had better protection with strong union protection, but it all came to an end with vicious harshly organised redundancies. What I hear of it now would make me hesitant to return.
Pros
Parking, reasonable pay, variable shifts
Cons
Includes many unsociable hours, lack of organisation, lack of care for staff and passengers when things get a bit tough

Rescue.
Hotel Receptionist (Former Employee) - Hilton, Cambridgeshire - 19 April 2022
Always an interesting and fun place ( full of exciting possibilities) to be expertly rescued. I am genuinely beyond grateful. Good quality rescue coffee.
Pros
Lots of nice places to buy magazines and books.
Cons
Early mornings. Late nights Everyone looks similarly tired; which is kind of good.

Poison
Mid senior Manager (Former Employee) - Terminals - 15 March 2022
Rudderless senior leaders who fail to challenge a toxic, union led workforce where a culture of fear driven performance based goals are not only accepted but encouraged. Each layer of the workforce has contempt for the layer above and below creating an atmosphere of mistrust and animosity.
Pros
The salary
Cons
Everything else

Hard work but satisfying job
Airport Security Officer (Former Employee) - London / Gatwick Airport - 31 March 2021
From the minute I joined the company the level of support was outstanding. The training team really knows their stuff and do everything they can to support you to succeed. You join a crew and work shifts with the same crew so they become like family. You can ask for extra support if you feel you need it and there’s no judgement. In the summer it’s really busy and can be exhausting but you can have a laugh with colleagues which helps you when it’s tough. There was often overtime available in the summer if you wanted it but you were never pressured to do extra hours. Decent breaks and facilities for staff. Management are firm but fair, if you do your job well and show willing then you’ll be absolutely fine. I only left due to redundancy due to COVID-19
Pros
Great work relationship, supportive company
Cons
Long hours on your feet
