Sneaky management and awful job balance
Awful pay, forced overtime sometimes with those hours worked for free as understaffed, would complete the work meant for managers (ie. stock checks, buying stock), consistently understaffed on shop floor, unhygienic and didn’t follow proper food health and safety

Avoid being a Franchisee
Please avoid using this company to open a store. They get you in and leave you to drown with no help and then take you're store away when you can no longer afford to keep it open. Head office don't want to see you succeed they just want some cash and recognition for being a great community builder. Head office are not that, I guarantee there are better ways to open flags.

On a shift you would be serving customers, cooking food, cleaning up, makin...

Home away from home
I'm in my 30s and have had a decent amount of jobs throughout the years, and as someone with a lot of social anxiety I've always found it hard to fit into a workplace, but at Geek Retreat Bedford I found my place and my people. I'm not necessarily passionate about cooking or retail or hospitality, but I still find joy and a sense of belonging everyday I'm on shift there. Management has always been...
