Top down run
Managers are just numbers due to temporary nature of business, top down run and dictictorial, treat people like cattle and do not really care about them no development,

Avoid at all costs
I was expecting GD to be a forward thinking dynamic workplace but I ended up bitterly disappointed. Constant setbacks caused by poor planning and decisions from the management and a blame culture of which I have never seen before. Its very much if your face fits your good, thinking outside of the box isn't tolerated and if your previous work experience isn't that of the Army then expect to be bullied and shunned. The pay is decent enough for the area but from my experiences of working there happiness and mental health is worth more.

It’s a private American company who adopt the overseas mentality of no human rights. GDLSUK does not do what it says on the tin in any shape or form. The job roles appear to pay well, however you are expected to work over and above contacted hours, all while being addressed in the most demoralising fashion. Until you’ve been there over two years, you’re in a very vulnerable position, you can blink the wrong way and they will get rid of you. They are working towards unachievable and unrealistic deadlines, therefore what you do will never be enough. There are however some fantastic people working here, if you have a thick skin and can withstand constant pressure you should be ok. If you’re looking for a nice life, even with the appealing pay, you won’t find it here.

Impossible workload and schedule
This was the most unpleasant working experience of my life. After 3 years and a nervous breakdown I left and have never regretted it, although I took a 75% pay cut to do so. Turns out money isn't enough to to compensate for the incredible stress you are put under.

I found that there was a bully culture, with people with their own agenda. You got promotion not on your ability but how your face fitted. You not recommend working there. I worked there for 2 years and never worked with so many arrogant bullys in my life
