We’re Getir, the pioneers of super-fast delivery. Technology enables us to do business no one else in the world is doing.

Our story can be divided into three elements: building an awesome people organization that drives this epic machine, making 10-minute grocery delivery possible by figuring out all of its intricacies, and scaling that business by getting people to embrace us.

We choose to be good people first, everything else is second. That is embedded from choosing the rider’s equipment to how we expand our business.

The idea of fast-delivery dates back to 2015, when it first launched in Istanbul. After becoming the clear-cut market leader in our first market, we decided that other cities also deserved 10-minute delivery. Our global ambition got us operating across Europe and the US in one year!

PS Getir in Turkish means ‘’bring happiness’’. So that’s what we do!

Used to be good pay, heavy work

It used to pay good but there is lack of communication and help in the company. There was no clear manager so I had to take the lead and get the normal workers wage. The company downsized and made everything harder. Not to mention poor franchisees.

Worst company to work for

The managers in the store don’t care and do everything they can to sack you, they talk behind your back and are really unprofessional. Nobody is happy in this work environment

Flexible hours, very good job for students

I can balance my work and education life at Getir. I can adjust my working hours to my lectures. There are some benefits if you perform well. Bonuses are achievable.

There's good and bad

It's not paradise, but the pay was decent, workload was manageable, management was super, and the team was very friendly and collaborative. Lots of things changed since then, especially when they introduced the franchising operations and some stores had it good and some worse. Overall, work load has been increasing sharply with same pay, advancement has been halted, and the environment isn't really fun anymore. I mean I can handle it, but I wouldn't recommend jumping aboard now (a year ago, maybe). Don't expect free food or other perks. The pay is advertised high for store assistants, yet you may not get what you're promised as it changes each week depending on performance. If you wish to join, being a courier is much more needed, relaxed and less stressful.

Its fun to work at getir

I love it the first time I started working for them, it easy to do, all you have to is to ride you motorcycle every day for 8 hours, you will eventually get bored of it, like me, but if you ask me it a great place to work
