Terrible management
Store assistant (Former Employee) - Orpington - 19 September 2023
Management was terrible in my time at getir, didnt care about their staff at all and never even tried to improve, the bikes they provided broke down all the time and most were unsafe, they offered no work life balance, the bonus was made impossible to get unless you worked at a busy store and was non stop working all week, which they wouldnt let you do. seemed like every time people got near a bonus they was given less hours
Pros
half decent pay (they make the bonus impossible)
Cons
no flexible working hours, no job security, bad management, bad equipment

Shift lead thats paid 52p more than store assitants for 5 times the work load
Shift Leader (Former Employee) - Southampton - 12 September 2023
in 12 years of retail and warehouse work, ive never come across a more incompetent company. their communication is almost non existant, even as im writing this i am currently prepping our store to be shut today. we found out yesterday with less than 24hrs notice. the overall work is incredibly relaxed which is nice, but trying to request anything to corperate is pointless as they dont care at all about their staff. my store assistants have had their pay cut 6 times in 2 years, my couriers have had their bonus almost removed completely. and then theres me, the shift lead for our branch. they pay me 11 quid an hour to completely run the store and staff. with no pay for overtime and no bonus.
Pros
minimum wage
Cons
toxic managers, minimum wage, no communication, no progression, no incentive to work hard, no sick pay, no overtime, no extra rewards for over acheiving, no security on your job

Awful work/life balance.
worker (Former Employee) - Liverpool, Merseyside - 1 September 2023
Loads of things to say, do not know where to start. Most importantly this job is NOT a stable job. They close warehouses every now and then, and you get left with NOTHING. Used to get a 100 pound bonus each week for 135 completed orders. Now there is unrealistic bonus based on orders per hour. (barely getting 20 pound each week if lucky, if not 20 pound, then your bonus will be 0)

Don’t do unless you had to
It was alright, but management was poor. As a Start up they don’t know what are they doing. Poor rota, system failed a lot of time. If your bike is not working you still have to wait there

insecure market
Courier Driver (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 28 July 2023
job's great if you have a decent manager, but market lately is bad and hours are getting cut. new bonus a bit unfair for some, but if you work hard and cover busy times it's real good

Do not even consider
Business Development Manager (Former Employee) - Turkey Street - 21 July 2023
If you enjoy being mobbed by incompetent managers getir is for you. Management does not care about business, workers, juniors. They are just bullshiting while company loses money. They will use u and throw you like a piece of paper

Not to be trusted
Manager (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 20 July 2023
Head office was terrible to work at. My manager wouldn't speak to me or answer messages for months. We were constantly put under ridiculous pressure to complete impossible tasks only to be laughed at and told that this was working at Getir speed. Not a pleasant experience

Terrible
Shift Leader/Store Assistant (Former Employee) - London - 14 July 2023
Management and company are ruthless. Firing people and redundancies everywhere. No structure within anything. Limited chances of growth and theyll just fire people randomly (literally).
Pros
Wages
Cons
Everything other than wagw

Only stuck around because of the people in store, managing is non existent
Team Leader (Former Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 12 July 2023
I only stuck around because of the people in store, the store assistants and couriers. Management haven't got a clue and that will be the downfall of the company. The blame was always passed down to the Team Leaders and other staff. In the 2 years I was there we had 3 different managers that were all fired. There is no job security, you don't know if your walking into a warehouse closing or mass redundancies again. The company used to throw thousands of pounds worth of stock away each day that was until they partnered with Neighbourly, before then they wouldn't even let staff take the food so it wasn't wasted. If you took any food they were throwing out you would have been fired. Scooters are maintained every 2 weeks sometimes longer, it leads to a lot of bikes becoming faulty and to the point where people can't work their shifts because there was no bikes.
Pros
The people in store
Cons
No work / life balance, in experienced managers, yearly redundancies

It's okay decent
Shift Leader (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 3 July 2023
The job is okay you have responsibilities on a day to day basis, you will look after a team that can be from 10-30 people. What makes this job good are the colleagues and apart from that the job is okay. However the only drawback is that the company does not value you, for them you are just another employee which they can just give orders to or get rid of you easily.

Easy Job
Delivery Courier (Current Employee) - Manchester - 9 June 2023
Nice colleagues, wage level is okay, you can choose when to work. But it seems to be less shifts available in some warehouses which made us have less hours earned.
Pros
Flexible hours

Paid minimum wage to be a moving target
Courier (Former Employee) - Middleton, Greater Manchester - 2 June 2023
Hours are shocking you will be on a zero hour contract no extra pay for weekends or night shifts impossible targets due to the leaving zone being to big there is no saftey whilst out on the road you will get people throwing stuff out there car at you kids throwing rocks at you whilst driving also adults threatening you with knifes for the motocycle and they dont offer any prevention for this ie a body camera
Pros
None
Cons
You will be a moving target
