IT Technician (Former Employee) - Kings Park, Glasgow - 25 March 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI worked in 2 different schools and the experience in each was very different. You were pretty much left to do as you wanted as management for technicians was in another school.

- Support from manager
- Energising work tasks
Another run of the mill place to work
Facilities Management Assistant (Former Employee) - Glasgow - 18 March 2022
Constantly being asked by Management to cover absent staff was demoralising. No pay rise for over 10 year's, we had to take industrial action to be awarded money which they owed us and we are still owed pension money which they are trying to pay as little as possible across the board. The kind of place where you must be known or suck up to a Manager for promotion.
Pros
None worth mentioning
Cons
Management incompetency and dishonesty

It is a good work environment & the hours of work suit me. Holidays are also good if its term time.
Glasgow city council provide various jobs. The term time holidays are great. The management staff are helpful and usually there is overtime if you want extra hours/money. The only problems i have had is with H.R. messing up my contract & wages on occasions. Overall a good place to work with friendly staff.
Pros
School holidays.

CUSTOMER SERVICE CRISIS ADVISOR (Former Employee) - Glasgow - 31 December 2020
Place was very stressful and management did not take into consideration your mental health. Did not get any gratification for doing extra things for management. It’s all about call handling and feels like you’re in a concentration camp because you get monitored if you go over your break or how long you’re at the toilet for
Pros
Meet some nice people
Cons
As above

Management
Modern Apprenticeship (Current Employee) - Glasgow - 31 July 2020
There is 3 managers for 12 people. Two are excellent at their job and the other argues with you and makes rumours about you. Also if you are doing work for others she tells you to drop it because her stuff is more important and it turns out that she only wants you to create a poster for a bake sale that she is organising. Also takes your own hard work for her own. Other colleagues are excellent love working there apart from that one manager.
Pros
Hard working, time efficient, Good works place
Cons
Poor management, too many managers

Hardest part of the job was leaving it due to relocation.
Not once did I not want to go work. Would have done it for free!
Pros
Excellent colleagues.
Cons
Worrying about the welfare of the pupils outside of school

It can be busy
Catering Assistant (Current Employee) - Hawthorn house - 10 February 2020
It depends upon who you work with. The work is not that hard as Iam experience catering assistant for years, it gets hard when we are short of staff or other staff doesnt turn up.
To me it is very handt no matter what the weather is like because I just stay 2 minutes away from work. The pay is ok, but not really a living wage as everything now, prices wise goes up and the tax man is greedy.
Pros
Develop good friends
Cons
SHort staff all the time
