Productive and positive place of work
Digital Marketing Specialist (Current Employee) - Wellingborough, Northamptonshire - 19 October 2023
I've been with Glazerite for over six years now. From day one, I felt like a valued member of the team. The company culture is supportive, and my manager has always been brilliant in encouraging me in the workplace. The company are excellent at investing in their employees with ongoing training which is much appreciated. Overall, Glazerite is a brilliant company to work for, over the years I've had the opportunity to learn and grow within the team.

Poor work conditions and pay
Fabricator (Former Employee) - Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - 9 August 2023
management lie to workers about pay rise for 6 months to turn around and say oh were not doing them because the gas and electric has gone up, i come to find out that many people did get a pay rise i was just lied to by management. Poor conditions for work no ppe. terrible pay for being pushed to hit target numbers while getting peanuts for it.

I personally had a bad experience with glazerite
Transport planner (Former Employee) - Transport office rixon road head office - 20 July 2023
After working there for over a year I experienced my manager being sacked then me being put into his role without the job title or relevant pay. The lads in the factory are a yd bunch and there is a gd atmosphere on the shop floor. The managers not so good they push for nothing but there kpis and don't listen clearly to problems the staff exsperinece. This effectively results in unhappy customers and products. It's a shame I had a lot of good times at glazerite but unfortunately it's was out weighed with bad
Pros
Free parking
Cons
Drivers do very long hours

Very productive place with very low pay rates
Fabricator (Former Employee) - Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - 20 July 2022
Small branch factory with small potential. Theirs competitive rats means national minimal rate, the most workers in this company are cheap labour from east Europe. The good things are that they have bank holidays and paying some breaks, the attendance bonus is for those whom not miss any day in 4 months period. Every 4 months they pay for that 100 pounds.

Cheap labour would be welcome
Fabricator (Former Employee) - Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - 11 September 2021
Been worked on contract for this company on the day shift, overall effect was poor wouldn't go back there. The first issue which I had was my pay rate - minimal rate On interview manager told me that after 3 moths I will get 30 pence rise. When received letter from company I was totally puzzled that the pay raise was 2 pens. Many people got same situation and left from this reason. The work culture wasn’t bad, same as work life balance, free 3 drinks daily from vending machine, health insurance, three breaks per day - one payable cause we worked half hour longer for that, plus paid bank holidays. That all of the benefits. On the other hand it was fast paced work, full of dust coming from the cut profiles sometimes I could even smell of burning plastic. Of course very noisy place at least they provided ear plugs. There is no any changing room so all my personal belongings kept in canteen. Company got WiFi but only for office staff. Also remember smelly toilets always with waste paper on the floor. Generally no future, stick to that company earning peanuts with no career progression.
Pros
Free drinks
Cons
work for the peanuts

Poorly managed
Witheld (Current Employee) - Wellingborough, Northamptonshire - 4 February 2020
If you have any ambition for promotion then this is not the place for you. Sadly the directors are only interested in running the company on the lowest salary budget and not on running it with the right members of staff.
There is a lack of management across the site with certain staff able to get away with clocking in late, not meeting targets and getting off without so much as a word yet those who make one mistake are the ones punished.
There are multiple people who are related within the business and as such it becomes an us and them situation when the workload increases.
Having said that, if you're just interested in an easy life where no one will really appreciate any of the work you do then this could be for you!
Pros
No stress
Cons
Poor management

Overall, not a good company
Fabricator (Former Employee) - Wellingborough, Northamptonshire - 28 January 2020
Incompetent management, both in the office and on the shop floor. Bad on the job training. No chance of advancement. A general malaise throughout. Desperate and depressing.

Working for glazerite
Window Fabricator (Current Employee) - Wellingborough, Northamptonshire - 25 September 2017
I have worked for better management in smaller companies, I believe this company is too good for its own good therefor causing many problems across the different tiers off staff.
I have worked very hard for this company from staying late to starting extra early to make sure work is out on time for them.
