Delivery Driver Partner (Current Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne - 7 August 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt was good to start with, hour's were put out and you could pick them. Money was guaranteed but now it isn't. With the changes that has happened I think it hasn't worked out well for the partner drivers.
Pros
Opportunity to make some cash
Cons
The uncertainty

Pays the bills :)
Operations Deputy (Current Employee) - London - 7 September 2023
Fast-paced, no two days are similar. Working as management is relatively easy, simple job to do. Packing orders has a simple to use interface, and inbounding deliveries can be stressful but is rewarding when everything is done before the end of your shift. Great place to start working at, good opportunities within.
Pros
Holiday pay + decent wage
Cons
Busy environment

Insights into Gopuff
Areas for improvement
- Sense of belonging
- Support from manager
- Energising work tasks
Generally fine
Customer Service Advisor (Current Employee) - Home Based - 18 August 2023
Don't have to speak on the phone which is great but repetitive work. To be expected though. Not really any perks with the company but you can normally swap shifts quite easily.

manager is headache but decent job
Courier/Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 24 July 2023
the manager doesn’t know how to speak to people overall but the job can be okay when the weather is good and delivery’s aren’t too heavy . delivery timings are important

It's a job
Supervisor (Former Employee) - Bristol - 11 July 2023
Just avoid it. Overworked, underpaid, Internal politics and mind games. 0hour contacts so you get 50hours or 0hours, if you complain about anything then you get nothing. Head office never visit so they don't understand that policy changes make things more long winded and inefficient. There are also 0 benefits. There used to at least be discount but that's been revoked.
Pros
You might get to work with a few cool people
Cons
Absolutely everything else.

Fast paced and demanding with a sprinkle of fun
Operations Associate (Current Employee) - Salford, Greater Manchester - 3 July 2023
Starting pay is a joke but the job itself can be fun at times, fast paced and keeping you busy enough that your shift can pass by very quickly. Helpful management team.

Overall experience was very good
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 22 June 2023
When I stated at gopuff as a delivery driver it was great. Loads of hours available and enough money to be made if you put the hours in. Then a new location was opened in Gateshead which brought even more opportunities to make more money. I have not been working there now for few months now so I can't give the update version what's happening there but from my last experience which was April 23, really enjoyed it and team cohesion I felt was too notch.

Poor management of concept
Driver (Former Employee) - Swansea, Swansea - 28 May 2023
Average hourly rate substantially less than the £10 an hour quoted, around £8 before you remove your cost of fuel, insurance, mileage, wear and tear. Really poor management of third party contract concept and creates a bad image for the company. There is consistent low balling on offered trips, regularly being around an hour round trip for £7/£8. Too many drivers, not enough trips, lowball offers and unachievable bonus scheme is pretty much all that you will find here. Quite possibly the GoPuff concept is not right for this city, if so the cost should not be footed by the drivers being forced to accept a £7/£8 an hour wage.
Pros
Flexible
Cons
Substantially lower than average wage, lowball offers, too many drivers, not enough jobs

Jobs at Gopuff
Don't bother
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Croydon, Greater London - 23 May 2023
Management is terrible and staff are rude. Peers seem to only involve you if you're part of the same ethnic group. Managers have favourites and it's clearly shown in the workplace.

Productive and Fun place to work
Shift Leader (Current Employee) - East London, Greater London - 14 May 2023
Gopuff is one of the best places I’ve worked at. They do care about their workers a lot , I have worked in gopuff for over a year and the only people that do complain are ones that do not put in much effort into their job but then expect more from the company. I have seen a lot of people get promoted into higher positions for their hard work, diligence and commitment to the company

Average
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Bow, Greater London - 7 May 2023
Not very flexible, hours not guaranteed. Job is good because you can wear your own clothes and have your headphones in the whole time. Wear waterproof clothes.

Decent pay - tough work
Rider (Current Employee) - Holloway, Greater London - 3 April 2023
Decent pay - you can get shifts but you must deliver quick to get it - no uniform provided. No room for progression here - just good for a quick money job

Awful
Shift Lead (Former Employee) - United Kingdom - 30 March 2023
Awful. Pay is not worth the amount that is expected of you. This company hasn’t got a clue what they’re doing constantly changing things and it’s having an effect on all the staff. There isn’t one day anymore where I can have a positive shift.
Pros
Maybe the pay, but even that isn’t worth the stress
Cons
Long hours, high expectations, constant procedure changing, ambiguous goals, not enough staff, no staff discount, company just cares about profit not the wellbeing of staff.

Great team but management is a joke
Parcel Courier (Current Employee) - Liverpool - 29 March 2023
Head office don't known which way to drive the company. Policy and rules keep changing on monthly basis. Good in work/life balance but don't expect for good wages.
Pros
Flexible
Cons
Wages are poor

Micro managed and no human decency
Driver (Current Employee) - Bow, Greater London - 24 March 2023
It used to be a good place to work but now it’s horrible, everything is micro managed and they will even time how long it takes you to go bathroom. If you drop a shift they take away your shift. An unfortunate guys grandma passed away so he had to drop his shift and they took away all his shift for the week. This was in the bow hub.

Best to work elsewhere
OA (Former Employee) - United Kingdom - 19 February 2023
Worked here for a while. Started out okay, nothing special but paid my way. Then the reality set in No holiday No sick leave 0 hours so you'd either get 0hours or 50hours If you complain you're cut Overworking Constant night shifts Heavy task loads and unrealistic expectations Constant work systems changes which make the job longer No availabile managers on nights or weekends
Pros
Quick easy cash
Cons
Overworking
