Nice place!

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Nice place to work whilst it was managed by OCS. With a new company entering in the corporate building, the quality if the management did go down due to a lack of knowledge and motivation.

Pros

free lunches

Cons

Good management with OCS and bad with Nuingredient.

Good benefits, unlimited time off, flexible work schedules, all around good people to work with. Sometimes communication from the leadership is not the best.

Good culture

Good company culture and friendly place to work. Opportunities for growth. Salaries low compared to market. Sometimes work overload during busy season.

Average

Low pay for the required work . Big room for improvement as there is a high turnover rate . Little to no support for further studies in IT audit so be prepared to invest in your own development.

Pros

Not as hectic as big 4, stress wise

Cons

Poor pay

Nice place to work

Work from Anywhere culture; so no traffic during chilly winters. Promotion, increments are not up to the mark or are below par. Overall, a nice place to work.

Pros

Work from anywhere culture

Cons

Less increment and growth prospects.

poor management

Workplace does not invest in employees. Needs management improvement. Benefits are okay. Limited learning opportunities. Wished I had leaned in a different direction instead of staying loyal to the company for so many years.

Great people

I love the people and culture. There are lots of opportunities to get involved. Their are great benefits although the salary isn’t the best and no RRSP matching.

It boffers an averange working environment

The work day is a busy one starting at 8.00 Am with a lunch break , and ending at 5.00 Pm for a normal regulated working hours. However due to the nature of work you find yourself putting in extra hours so as to be able to meet strict deadlines.I learned a lot of policies and procedures for auditing and consultancy work as the local office has to adapt to the standard operating procedures of Grant Thornton International .The most challenging part of the work here is the fact that the accounting and book keeping regimes at the clients places is never that of computerized records and even where records are computerized there will be some problems of incomplete records. The most enjoyable part of the work here is working with the computer, through the computer and with the computerized auditing and accounting packages

Pros

The management has a welfare arrangement that c.aters for teas and Lunches for free to the employees

The people are good but the management is not.

The salary is mediocore as well as the benefits. Work Environment is not good as there’s always noise and distractions in the office. The people in my team are good but not so sure about the people in other teams.

Great people, lack of communication from coach

Worked there during Covid, worked with great people. Everyone was very open to help. But felt very tired of the constant busy season and lack of staff on engagements. Wish they would ask for employee feedbacks and actually listen to them.

Great Culture and Structured Career Path

The culture at GT is second to none. If you get your work done and engage with the team, management will give you as many opportunities as you ask for. The flexibility is also really great.

HR are a disaster

A company that protects bullies as they are too hard to manage and the good staff get no support. HR where more than disastrous especially those from the Glasgow office.
