I had 12 yrs at pre and post merger companies both had their pros and cons. In the main a meritocracy until high growth meant quotas in promotion and led to the appraisal train which was often de motivating. Management by metrics sadly replaced true leadership and a peer coaching culture was viewed by some as alien technology and eradicated Loss of market share led to shrinkage in sales force eventually becoming largely a telesales outfit

Having been working on &off .at various pharmaceutical &nuclear sites .I've never really been asked the questions of how you rate your job .generally most of our tasks are repetitive. On some odd occasions you come up with a solving solution. Which is fine as long as your still willing to learn &someone is willing to teach you .which I've never found a problem with .I would call it industrial learning .on site . So I find my experience counts .

Great pay and conditions, pensions, share Save, flexible working, great development opportunities for those that want them. I worked for GSK for 30 years and changed roles 10 times from R&D to Manufacturing, Project roles etc. Lack of long term strategy for the Worthing Site has led to redundancies and reduced headcount and spiralling costs. Nevertheless I would recommend GSK as a great place to work.
