H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) is a Swedish fashion and retail company known for its range of trendy and fashionable clothing for women, men, teenagers and children. The company was founded in 1947 by Erling Persson in Västerås, Sweden. At that time, the company sold only women's clothing and was called Hennes, which means "hair" in Swedish. In 1968, Persson bought Mauritz Widforss, a shop in Stockholm that specialised in hunting gear but also sold men's clothing. He renamed the shop Hennes & Mauritz, which was later shortened to H&M.

The H&M group consists of six independent brands: H&M, COS, Monki, Weekday, & Other Stories and ARKET. We have over 4,200 shops in 76 markets around the world.

We want to lead by example when it comes to fashion and sustainability. In this context, our employees play a key role and can contribute to more sustainable fashion, now and in the future. We want to enable everyone to choose a sustainable lifestyle and, in short, enable everyone to look good, feel good and do good!

Not really collaborative
Meeting with daily targets if you start in the morning. If you start at midday, means you close, they do not even care to tell you anything, jump to the tills or clear those rails, that is all.Closing it was really a nightmare because during the day they only wanted to keep the entrance in good condition. Therefore, the resto of the dutties including sorting the delivery could be left as the las...

Good for a part time role
Pros:- lovely staff- possibility for progression - good discount - overtime available Cons: - repetitive boring work - extremely busy majority of the time - closing times were too late

Not the best
Stores are understaffed, and a lot of the staff in not properly trained - leaving the rest of the workers with a bigger load. There’s also quite a toxic environment in store which is quite common in retail. Workers are underpaid.

Poor management
No workplace progression. Not much support from managers, Found them to be very ageist towards junior employees. Great place to start though if you need a first time job.

Not the worst workplace
Can get boring at quiet times, and stressfull when is busy, the support you receive from management is not the greatest bust still nt the worst job had.
