77 questions about working at H&M
Management blame you for not working fast enough but when the tills are useless and the scanners don’t work you have to key the product key in manually this what makes you slow. Some managers are fair but their are some who blame sales assistants for everything even when they need to look at their own inadequacy
Answered 17 September 2019I had my interview today at a small local store and it was nothing like any of these reviews stated. Firstly, it was one to one, no group situation like the other reviews stated. Don't be scared as the manager is lovely. I was in a fairly small store so obviously my experience may be very different to those in bigger cities. good luck !

Answered 28 February 2018Usually it would be to apply online, small questionnaire to fill in. Then onto an assessment day, where you go to store and have a group interview with others.
Answered 2 April 2019I’ve worked for H&M for three years going onto my fourth. I started as part time and soon worked my way up to full time, once I became full time I began working towards one of the management positions. But. Every time a new management role would appear, no external interviews were held and the roles were always given to the favourited employees or employees threatening to leave. When this has happened over 9 times it’s beyond the joke, because I was expected to run membership, give morning meetings, work out sales reports and much more that was above my pay grade. You’re always expected to do more, the pay is LOW for the amount of responsibility given. People with less experience are given management roles, but would always come to me for advice on how to run the shop floor. Beyond the joke.
