It depends on your role. My 4 years at HSBC have generally been 35-40hour weeks. Obviously during busy periods I may work 9 10 hours a day but no ones ever questioned my 5 6 hour days either.

Spend more time in stakeholder meetings than delivering. anything involving IT will be expensive, long and very very frustrating.
