Amazing team and Great Management
Hostess (Current Employee) - Bath, Somerset - 8 August 2023
Beautiful new building. Amazing staff and great management. As we have all experienced not so great management in our work life id personally like to say I've never felt so welcomed. The culture and values go above and beyond. This is defiantly somewhere where id like to send my close family if there ever comes a time. I know they would be looked after well and respected with great dignity.
Pros
Great atmosphere.

Building culture
Maintenance Manager (Former Employee) - Bath, Somerset - 13 July 2023
I only worked at hallmark for a couple of months, very toxic environment, making inappropriate comments about me in front of other staff members and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I wrote to HR, over 3 weeks ago still no reply, honestly from what I applied for too what I was actually expected to do were two completely different things, I really wanted this job and was so excited to continue my career however this was the worst decision I had made and wish I never applied
Pros
Like building
Cons
Toxic management, very cliquey if you don’t fix it with them then they will make sure you are repressed

Housekeeper/Cleaner (Current Employee) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire - 13 July 2023
Arlington Manor under Hallmark Care Home is a place to work and have a stable work-life balance and career fulfillment. They provide regular training for employee growth and work rotas are prepared ahead. You can sometimes have a really stressful day but I feel this is applicable to all jobs in the UK.
Pros
Free lunch, Work-life balance, friendly & supportive management and employees, Good company to achieve career stability
Cons
Unpaid break

Health Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Banstead Village - 8 July 2023
Day and night team should corporate as care is a continuity of work. No differences among team members. The management must be democratic and ready to listen to everyone's opinion

Dedicated Team
Relative (Former Employee) - Suffolk - 5 June 2023
Some amazing staff who are really dedicated & do their upmost for the resident's in their care. However there is a high turnover of staff, twelve hour shifts are very demanding when working with peopke with dementia. Sadly some excellent carer's have been lost because of Hallmark's inflexibility on shift patterns. It is a rewarding job but very demanding, am sure that not all new recruits are prepared for this.

Genuinely a Great Company
Recruitment Consultant (Current Employee) - Billericay, Essex - 30 May 2023
All my team members are lovely and I get on well with my line manger. They are always helpful and checking in with me. Company is working towards some great things such as Diversity & Inclusion. They also seem to genuinely care about staff and want them to succeed. There is also a clear vision in what we are aiming for which is delivering high quality care to our residents.
Pros
Enjoyable working environment and working from home is an option

terrible place to work
kitchen assistant (Former Employee) - Ty Porth - 25 May 2023
very clicky nasty two faced staff. Leaving new staff members out when going on activities. Middle management gives best shifts to friends. An awful atmosphere to work in. They have a high turnover fo staff for these reasons.
Pros
none
Cons
late hours

Challenging at times, but satisfying
RGN (Current Employee) - Henley-On-Thames - 7 May 2023
If you're a person who likes to challenge themselves every day that's the place for you. It's plenty of tasks to complete, but once you complete them you feel satisfaction because you managed well. I would say sometimes you will be asked for too much and you will feel like not really possible to be completed for a day, so the stress sometimes is overwhelming.
Pros
Great payment
Cons
Overwhelming at times

Too much pressure
Care Assistant (Current Employee) - London - 3 May 2023
So many managers. They’re bringing up something new every day. Always keeping us on so much pressure on care assistance whatever you do it’s not enough.

Senior Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Brighton - 6 April 2023
Management mess team about with working pattern, unless face fits you have no chance in moving forward, always dangerously short staffed especially at night

I have spent significant time working for this ‘company’ If you accept bullying from senior management, enjoy working with management that are inappropriate towards young team members. Or if you enjoy living without sleep, purpose or fulfilment this company is for you. You’ll gain from this pay that doesn’t match your hours, being scrutinised throughout the time you continue to work there and bouts of poor mental health as a consequence. Enjoy !

A proud place to be..
Hairdresser (Current Employee) - Rugby, Warwickshire - 27 January 2023
Anya court is a real pleasure to work for. The staff are really attentive, caring and friendly and of course genuinely care a lot about the residents and outside visitors. The management are supportive and listen which is really reassuring and refreshing to see they take the care for residents, outside visitors, the home and the welfare of staff and making sure everything is done correctly seriously and this is really nice to see. I feel safe at Anaya court and I feel very welcomed I am please to be apart of such a lovely positive community.
Pros
Caring people, great management, welcoming

Not a great experience
Care Assistant (Former Employee) - United Kingdom - 23 January 2023
The experience at Bucklesham Grange was not as great as I was hoping, I started there feeling hopeful as they promote their awards and the home as a family friendly environment. As soon as you get into the door and working on the community I felt under pressure and not supported by the managers. There is way too much stressful work to do and not enough staff on shift, it works on ratio rather than needs of the residents and for me I find this very upsetting, the residents are wonderful and the care team are amazing, but they do not always get their needs met and the staff are made to feel guilty. They are 12 hour shifts, but the days feel short because of the amount you have to do and by the end of the day you will find yourself very tired, mentally and physically drained. The managers do not care about wellbeing, work loads of hours but as soon as you have a sick day they make you feel bad about it, there is no praise or appreciation, also try not to be friends with anyone or the managers will pick up on this and seperate the people you work well with, this makes you feel like you are in the wrong even know you go in to work giving your 100% effort. Management really let me down here and made me fall out of love with my job. Just do not be fooled by the induction because once you are past that you are just a number to them.
Pros
Great team and residents
Cons
Poor management
