That's HCC's biggest problem is not using successful temps.I have successfully completed a number of office based assignments in Winchester and would be happy to be permanent. But instead of employing tried and tested people they start from scratch again expecting candidates to completer a separate application for each vacancy rather than draw from a pool of proven people. Most potential candidates put off by the onerous form filling for each vacancy. The private sector always maintains a pool of good prospects so that even candidates not selected initially can be contacted as more vacancies arise. The council are too full of PC ideaology and not delivering a cost effective service for Council Tax payers.
If temporary staff prove themselves to be able to complete the role then they should be offered a role within the council. If not in the department working in then offered another role.
