Its an NHS Hospital
HHFT is an NHS hospital with all the pressures that brings. Often working with not enough staff nor beds. But the benefit of working in the NHS are many - job security, national pay standards, union representation if required

This job was very stressful and made me ill.
Always rushed, never had a chance to do the job properly. Management that are non clinical seem to have more power and make decisions to the detriment of the patient. They are always understaffed hence you have to do 1.5 -2 Nurses and over time this is not sustainable. I would work here if Management took a back seat on matters they are not trained for. A business manager knows little about prov...

Productive and happy workplace
Strong teamwork and friendly supportive work environment and they provide appropriate annual leave days. The management listens to my concerned and act upon them.

Hard work. Poor pay. Understaffed which makesbthe job harder.
The job is very rewarding. Only downside is there is always shortages of staff which makes the job harder than it is. That increases staff absenteeism. Leave teams deflated.

Stressful environment with endemic bullying
Forget their mission statement. I worked there for 17 years, the last 4 have been the worst. Stress at work and shift work led to insomnia and poor mental health…. I had been requesting redeployment on the grounds of ill health for 2 years, but was denied, despite recommendations from occupational health.
