From the start was unsure about working here, got told times for shifts and were completely different when started, work can be fast and busy, not much training given, shifts very unsociable aswell at times

Great place to work for fun/if you don’t need the money

A social and collaborative atmosphere. Can be very clicky and gossipy. Generally not much career growth, unless your very committed to becoming friends with those that will decide your fate. However

Fast-paced yet relaxed

Typical day would consist you you coming in before 8:30am, having a small team brief and then going off to your computer to deal with enquiries over the phone. Most enquiries are usually about missing orders, delayed delivery or rewards. If you're not on the phone then you are expected to deal with online e-mail enquiries which are never-ending. However, I would recommend working there as the atmosphere is very relaxed and you're able to wear whatever you like. Also, there are fun activities sometimes to encourage your knowledge.

A very productive and exciting place to wok

Constantly serving customers. After my one year of service, new recruits were trained by me. The training was usually conducted mid-week. This helped to raise the luxurious London retail shop's standards to the highest level in Europe. Due to the busy nature of the retail shop, it's often said "if you worked successfully in Harrods, you could work anywhere in the globe".

Fun workplace

Typical day at work would be coming in the morning and placing all clothing back in the correct place and getting more stock. What I have learned during the time I was working in Harrods is dealing with people with different fashion sense and giving helpful and truthful advise while taking back advise from customers. I was managing the first floor of womens clothing. Managing first floor was a good experience and a great opportunity to take such a important role. Made sure everything was running smoothly. Most enjoyable part of the job is giving clothing and fashion advice to customers and learning new creative clothing ideas from customers and many more.

Very Exciting,vibrant and fun place to work

Harrods is one of the largest luxurious departmental stores in the world. As such it has customers all over the world from Africa to the Americas. A typical day at Harrods is therefore full of various queries and enquiries regarding Harrods products and activities. No one day is the same and that's what makes Harrods a very interesting and special place to work. Even though it's a very busy environment, senior management and supervisors always create a friendly and enjoyable environment for all their workers. I have learnt a lot during my time at Harrods especially when it comes to dealing with very sensitive clients. On the whole it was a very useful and an enjoable experience

The online staff are very supportive and frindly.

I work with a team of polite, helpful and approachable staff. I learned to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts that arise from customers purchases at different levels depending on the customers involved whether green,gold or black rewards card holder.

A typical working was Harrods was customer service with both in house staff and paying customers, responding to emails for clients about delivery of items, giving out stationery to Managers and MDs of different departments and responding to in coming calls in three rings.

Fun workplace with amazing Customer care

A typical day starts with our morning meeting that focus on bringing energy and fun to the day. Working in what can be a stressful job it is always important to start with a productive and enthusiastic outlook for the day. With working in Customer Services for such prestigious company, I have learned how to manage customer expectation for what can be a distressing experience within the company. This has helped with my ability to communication between the customer and managers on the shop floor to find the best solution for the customer and the business. In addition, I have perfected the ability to manage time and prioritize workload to ensure efficient delivery of all aspects of tasks. The management team in Customer Services is next to none. They are supportive and encouraging, always giving us the opportunity to take on addition projects to further our knowledge within the business. One of the most enjoyable parts of our day is taking a break with our managers to get the energy and fun back into our day.
