6 questions about working at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust
Depends on your job role. Nursing staff are provided with uniform (tunics, trousers, dresses or scrub tops) Drs can use scrubs on shift. Some ward clerks are giving shirts. In fact most of those in clinical areas are provided with uniforms. These are usually bare below the elbow, and no jewellery allowed other than small studded earrings and a plain band ring. Those that are in their own clothes are usually smart casual.

Dependant on the department you work on. Certain clinical areas with acute care (A&E, Catt) are very busy and usually understaffed. Even if you find a busy time to take a breather there’s some manager breathing down your neck to clean something! Seems unfair when other departments are allowed time to relax in between.

You are punished for being sick if you contracted anything from being there such as D&V it goes on your record if you are off for to many hours after that you get punished again and again so people come in really sick and distressed because they are afraid of loosing their jobs.
