As soon as I came to this company I was told that the hours were flexible and that I’d be on a decent wage I once did a 9am shift and didn’t finish till gone midnight and had NO break due to there being so many covers, the company doesn’t care about the impact it is having on you, the pace is fast, and you’re expected to pick it up straight away with little insight or training. Everything is frozen even the scrambled egg 2 times I worked there I saw a member of staff drop a steak on the floor and slap it back on the grill, and everyone acted like it was normal. I didn’t work here for long and as I was about to leave we went into lockdown I was the. Told I didn’t qualify for furlough, and that point I quit and didn’t go back,I would come home and physically cry because of the pressure of the job and I would not recommend to anyone, the money is rubbish I was on minimum wage and within the first week I picked up 3 shifts.
The only good thing was the team at the time carried about each other and recall helped each other to survive but managers were discussing how they treat people and disregarding health and safety as well about not actually caring about quality of food or the customs. If you challange that you will be pushed out and people will be asked to write fulse statements against you to remove you which myself had done and I have evidence
Some good people
All of the above
Our team is good at our location, however progression is really slow. Ive been informed that I would be put forwars for progression several times but I have not achived the position. I applied for a job role and was put on a pay grade lower than the position applied for. I was informed it would only be for 13 weeks, during my induction. All the while I was expected to complete tasks of a position above the role I applied for. I was wventually stepped up after 26 weeks, however I still completemost of the the AM role whilst being paid for Supervisor.
Long hours, poor work life balance, low pay, overworked
Job is okay for the most part if someone doesn't mind sitting in potwash and wasting a lot of food. Some parts are enjoyable but generally a lot of cleaning and nothing ends up looking clean by the end of the day either way. Manager has been putting off basic requirements such as ordering work shoes for months on end when new staff got them immediately. Minimum wage and work often work from open til close. It is either boring and nothing is happening or restaurant is filled to the brim with guests.
50% off on shift, 30% after, opportunity for growth
12 hour shifts, not enough staff to work shorter shifts, manager plays favourites, appliances often broken, not very student friendly
m and b you are just a number and they don't care about you at all. My pub manager was useless and a bully the company shows no support and head office don't want to know if you have issues. Bassett pole sucks
management turn over is massive
Exceptionally poor management, cant even write a rota correctly, no uniform provided yet they moan about the colour of my chef jacket, wages are constantly tampered with by management, they will clock you out before you've actually finished your shift, sometimes by several hours, expect to be put on emergency tax aswell because the manager doesn't know what he is doing, every staff member I spoke to is unhappy at the way the business operates.
Deceitful managers, unorganised, extremely poor working conditions.

I worked with a lovely team of people that were always welcoming and we did things like secret Santa and it was great fun when they changed the menu as the staff got to do a taster day of the new food. However it was also very stressful at times you can have very rude customers and sometimes when the managers are stressed it makes the environment at work not as fun.
Long hours and stressful
On the weekends typical day looked the same every weekend , from morning I checked all dates of food to make sure nothing expired including those from fridges. Team was co-operative and it made work a bit easier as everyone worked on the same level no one was left to work harder .
50% off everything during break
Would not recommend. Poorly managed site (Livingston) and terrible food - to the point where I felt bad recommending anything to a guest. When the food came back with complaints and I asked the manager what was going on I was told “oh yes, the food we use is of low quality” seriously???
I worked here when I was 18 now being 22, my branch was the literal pits, bottom of the barrel kind of pub with customers being the same. Management was insanely bad because he didn't care about his job or employee's - thankfully got sacked. Health and saftey in the whole building was atrocious, everything was filthy, old, colleagues were rotten. Its been reburbished now but been told the atomosphere of work hasn't changed. I quit after a month, and only worked there 2 days a week. Rip to anyone who goes to this branch, I wish you good luck!
