Made some great friends here. Good work atmosphere good team working. Bad management. No flexibility in hours. Felt unappreciated by certain members of the team
Pros
50% off lunch
Cons
Long hours
Honestly the first few weeks were amazing and then it started going down hill from there started being sent to the other harvester as apparently they where short staff which was not the case it was more that they basically thought I was a terrible waitress and I needed training for 3 months I was working at another site which I was not even employed by.
Started working at hawth park again hours where long and terrible break you could never know if you would even get your full hour break as there has been many times I would be called back of break early. Breakfast shift where the worst as I’d come in early as some managers would not set up salad bar for the breakfast I’d punch in at 8 as of when I had started to work and they would change it for the time it says on the rota which is completely not fair.
Managers would make absolutely horrible comments about other staff including myself as I was told I was getting fat and that apparently my home life with my other half was more important to them and for them to take the mock out of it
Staff were amazing but always issues between the management and everyone else, kitchen staff were a laugh but they pay as little as possible and don't pay rise ever, I was given constant split shifts so they could give themselves the shifts they want, don't work Christmas as they lie about paying more when they don't. I have however been told it has got better since and the managers have left
The job was not very demanding as I did it part-time as a student.
The simple and standard orders did not present me with difficulties.
Depending on the location, crowding can present a challenge.
The management I was under really made the job go smoothly.
You just need to be as flexible as possible to please customers.
Worked at The Hawth Park Inn Crawley for a few months and it was the worst few months of my life. Constantly got messed around with my hours and pay. They do actually owe me money still. Managers are disgusting horrible people that put you down and made more than one member of staff cry at work
Cons
Working there
I enjoyed everything about working here. great fun, good staff, very well organised!!
Everyone here works together and not against each other, its a very nice working environment.
would always go back!
foods delicious too :D
Pros
50% off food on shift
Cons
no free meals other than salad bar.
Like any other food industry related job, my role required a lot of movement and pressure under busy times, i would have to work over my limits in order to satisfy my managers and the customers.
Pros
Free Meals per day.
Cons
Stressful at times and management can be a bit harsh.
I was doing first line food preparation in very busy environment, working long shifts 5 days a week, great experience for a chef and good team work.
Pros
free lunches
Cons
long hours
this work place had a good vibe to it morale was always up in the kitchen with the right team on we would meet our time targets and be out of work at a reasonable time a typical day at work was get in early in the morning and do prep for the day and throughout the day it was cook to order the hardest part of the job was constant food orders and working long hours without a break and the most enjoyable part of the job was working with the correct team and just having a laugh.
