Bad management- finlake

Management don’t care about the staff and safety of the pool facilities. Lifeguards let off the chairs and to roam in the plant room. Save yourself and do not work there.

Stressful and no structure

Whilst I appreciate that the company is going through change, the lack of respect for its employees is unbelievable. The communication is non existent and it is a ‘do as you’re told’ culture rather than inclusive. Senior management lack the ability and clarity to ensure that the team they have would be much improved if fairly treated and adequately paid for their hours. The staff turn around figures are potentially masked by “summer/student” intakes who remain on their books as zero hour contracts, but levels of stress and sickness are worse than anywhere else I have seen. It is a shame as it could be a good place to work if they actually followed their ‘philosophy and policies’ at base level.

Unproductive careless

job description all wrong as they ask you to do things that uou cant do on day 1 ect. A lot of promises without ever delivering on them. No one ever do anything usualy. Sitting in the office on theyr phones watching youtube insta, facebook ect is more rewarded than put in effort and care in to the whole place. Place is in shambles and manager do prefer to have laugh over work that needed to be done. Also everyone is very disrectpectfull towards cusromers as all they can talk about is how they hate everyone, which shows on the whole building as no one cares in there as long they can have good time, which is main these days.

Overall Awful

Management is ridiculous and everything is done to benefit those above you, and you as a little man aren't cared for. Overworked and given unrealistic targets, dispite being trained with an understanding that you'd have longer per job.Although good pay if you are 16, workers with skills and relevant experience and qualifications aren't paid for their abilities and are just rushed off their feet and put down.

Amazing place to work!

I have absolutely LOVED working for Haulfryn. I have made friends for life here. It is such a lovely place to work and everyone works together as a team. It’s a family feeling across the whole park, everyone working to one goal. I was so sad to leave, this is the best place I have worked and I’ve made friends for life! Management are lovely and you can go to them whenever you want and they will never judge you. If you get the chance to work here, you will be welcomed in to a family.

Broken promises

No help or support with management. No communication by management. Team support wasn't given. Told just to to get on with it. Work loads of hours no appreciated.

NO Communication

There is no communication at all in the workplace you wont know your shifts until the day before the start of the week and you will never be thanked for staying on if you were due to finish at a set time

Cut throat and high pressure environment, designed to apply maximum pressure on sales people. Constantly have job security hanging over your head. High staff turnover

Thoroughly enjoy working for haulfryn, however, would welcome a better rate pay and more hours.

A stronger and people friendly management can make a whole lot of difference. Also price review can be reconsidered as often customers complain about the price of food and Beverages compared to other local venues.

productive and sometimes fun

I worked as a kitchen assistant, my work involved washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen and prepping food. I got along with the managers and the members of staff some times. The hardest part of my job is the unsociable hours and late finishes, specially when it gets busy.

Well what can I say, a disorganized place, poor management, lack of staff because management want to keep cutting the wage bill even though there's no staff there already, would not recommend stay away

Avoid food and beverage department.

Don’t bother Management very poor here, you won’t get your rota until the evening before the next working week, although you’re on zero hour contract you will be forced to work shifts you’ve said you cannot do! Management very negative and it’s their way or no one else’s way

Horrible place to work, STAY AWAY !!!

Do yourself a big favour and stay away from this company. It has a culture of underlaying bullying, favouritism and some of the worst management you will ever find. Lunch breaks are almost non existent, work loads continually increase and little or no appreciation is given. Co workers aren't to be trusted and customers are either arrogant or of sub intelligence and spend most of the time being rude to staff. Profit, profit, profit is the company culture with no reinvestment in staff or equipment coupled with long hours and poor pay.

Worked in housekeeping, hours not fairly given out to other staff, sworn at as not proper training, no regular hours but expected to come in a day notice, money good when hours good,

Finance

Very antiquated AR system, made it difficult for the AR staff to deal with invoicing. Would not change or update it. High turnover of staff in parks resulted in no skill transfer and therefore many errors.

Productive, busy, relentless

Having worked on the maintenance team of this company's flagship holiday park demand for work was constant. Learning was continual and informal. Workers generally have great relationships within their departments.
