Appalling and disgusting

Watching selfish manager get praise for others hard work What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Toxic don’t work here they only care about themselves. Middle and Senior Management useless

Decent mangers jump ship as soon as they realise the lack of support from senior management to those 'on the ground' Staff leaving at all levels for many reasons and can't be replaced because word is going beyond the company about them. Creating ever decreasing circle of overloaded workloads, and poor workload management. Promises not kept about honouring AfC T&Cs

Don't bother!
Health Care Support Worker (Current Employee) - United Kingdom - 24 August 2023
The agency workers are amazing to work with and you learn a lot from them, more than the permanent staff. I was warned about how bad the company was to work for and how difficult it was to progress in the company on my first night shift, 2weeks into starting. Really wish I had listened to the person. IT consists now of 3 people as layed off the other 12, so you can imagine the waiting times to get help with e learning etc. 2 months and still waiting for my query to be sorted out, and sent evidence so could get my certificate. No one seems to know anything and just passes you round an round in circles, so frustrating! Your sent 40miles away with one client then 17miles with another client, when you have clients near by where you live. The rota's are done by someone who makes a complete mess of it, and puts you on a night shift the night before your annual leave, so you loose 7hrs which you don't get back. You work 4 nights, then one off to then work 3 nights, then one off, work a day, have 2 off to then do it all again and work every weekend near enough. No work life balance, especially when you have to study too. No support, and they hold you back from trying to progress even though it's something you are meant to do in the first 3 months. Very patronising, rude management who speak down to you like dirt just because you aren't a level 6/7. Your mental health will go through the roof working here. No wonder staff leave so quickly here, and the funny thing is that HCRG are aware of this and still haven't tried to improve it.

Great place to work, productive and fun. paid well through AFC terms and conditions. management approachable, staff nurses very friendly. Learnt a lot about the service users and IDTS and alcohol detox

Absolutley horrific place to work, no managers o site,when they are nothing ever gets sorted ,if you want to speak to them confidentially then within the hour the whole workforce know your business, money is poor for wot they expect you to do ,no one is overly friendly ,if you don't fit in then game over you'll never be accepted!!! Whole time I've been there I've been stressed ,worst thing I ever done ,

Supportive of progression and supplementing role with courses. Chief exec supportive during the changes with pay rise however the company have decided to not give us the non consolidated payment from their funds like other companies are.

Productive and supportive
Family Wellbeing Nurse (Current Employee) - Colchester, Essex - 18 April 2023
I had a few managers and everysingle one of them had the time to listen and support me in difficult times in both personal and workload. I felt in touch with the wider company and kept up today I feel connected with my colleagues and are always kept up to date with the company. A great effort is made to get to know colleagues out of work. The work load is manageable and I can always rely on managers if the workload is too much and change is available.

Really enjoyed working here
Really enjoyed working here, my manager and senior manager were great to work with. Although there were short deadlines and at times chaotic as in any health care service. The environment was a relaxed environment. Working from home was easy, very accommodating to parent needs as the hours were flexible. Only left as salary progression, bonuses and increases were very low.

Management tried their best to support new staff and forward thinking ideas. it was not embraced by many employees who had been there years. Amazing health care assistants and OT and Physio teams and Drs.

terrible employer

As a qualified nurse I would not recommend this company as an employer to anybody. In my experience they did not care about my health and well being or give me the respect I deserved. I cannot elaborate on this without giving too much information.

Stressful, management to interested in profits

Lack of staff runs on agency staff. No career advancement, lack of funding for training and equipment. Poor housekeeping due to lack of provision for basic essentials not being funded.

I’ve worked for the company for 2 years I am very happy in my role I work in an inclusive friendly team I have a voice and am heard I’m actively encouraged to think of new ways of working and implement those There is a lot of support and supervision , peer review 1:1s We have a great rewards club to help you save money ie vouchers and Wagestream We have pension advice 1:1 to get the most out of our pensions There is always laughter where I work The companies values are demonstrated every day we care we think we do Team work is a priority and the communication from the company executives is informative and encouraging and we have frequent “drop in visits” from the executives so we can get to know the faces of who is supporting us from a higher level The company is progressive and actively encourages you to professionally develop I love working here

Unfortunately you're NOT paid the same as your NHS colleagues. Same job for much less money. Overbooked clinics. No appointments for 2/3 weeks. Stressed patients and staff. Senior management did not want to hear about it.
