Make sure you question the team structure, how many people left, what were the changes, why all of the changes and what is the strategy and what hours people in the team do so you're ready for your cover and whats the situation and everything is held and agreed by your line manager - agency - HR - CEO

Very informal due to the amount of students in the area - 20% of that town population.

The work environment is great at Helen and Douglas House Shop. All of the volunteers get on very well as we all have the same thing in our minds which is to set out a goal to work for a charity which means something to all of us in some way. It also means that customers can make you feel better for work that you are doing because of the way that they talk to you and give you such positive feedback every day.

I first got an interview at Helen and Douglas House because the shop and the work that people carry out in the house means a lot to me. I went to the shop in person and got a form to fill out . As soon as I brought back the form with information about how the shop related to me and with references as well I was called for an interview.

Since Helen and Douglas is a charity organisation you know you are working for a good cause. When it comes to hiring people they do not discriminate.
