Micromanaged by every manger there.

Indeed featured review

Definitely my worse experience yet at a job hand on heart. The stress of this place coursed me to have a mental breakdown midway through the start of the pandemic. Everyone who I still speak to from there reckons there is no change and still the same

Pros

6 hour work days so wasn’t there long

Cons

Micromanagers

productive

The workplace is often very busy and full on and often gives you a lot of responsibilities. However, the people you work worth make up for all of that as you all help each other throughout the day. Everyone is friendly to one another and always make you feel part of the team.

Henry Schein

The people in Henry Schein are great and I have a fantastic team. The role that I have is restrictive in terms of no commercial involvement and a huge amount of internal compliance.

Pros

Good work life balance

Cons

A huge amount of red tape

Extremely busy office

A full day of taking and resolving queries via telephone from incorrect deliveries, faulty goods, account queries and payments by credit card. I have learnt to be polite and listen and keep calm under duress. To manage my daily work load and to be a loyal and useful member of the team. A good part of the day would be when I can see the bottom of the in tray and know that I have made people happy.

Pros

I am able to work unsupervised and make my own decisions.

Cons

A heavey work load without always having time to complete it.

Productive and fun work place

Working in a team of 2 we supply remote support for dental software and equipment to dentists across the country. All the software used is bespoke to the dental industry so much training is involved that has seen me travel to Europe to gain the knowledge required on a number of occassions. The firm in Cardiff includes about 50 team members from warehouse operatives to managers. A typical day can involve anything from 2 to 8 jobs on my diary, but that can mean that 2 jobs sometimes take all day to resolve. The hardest part of the job is trying to resolve issues whilst the Dentist is still running their business, this requires a very tactile approach. The most enjoyable part is getting the great feedback from customers after you have resolved their issues.

Pros

Bonuses and 1 hour lunchbreaks

Cons

Bonuses are sales driven

Great atmosphere to work in and built positive relationships with team members

A typical day at work included working as a team and independently to ensure goods were lifted, handled and moved safely and efficiently around the warehouse and placed into the correct storage provided. I would count, stock check, manage other team members on occasion, move stock, pick and pack goods to send to customers, quality check others work, use machinery including pump trucks and wave machines to move stock and also other various jobs such as cleaning and looking for any missing stock. Management were friendly and cooperated effectively with their team. Co-workers were positive and supported their other team members. The hardest part of the job was repeating the same routine daily however this allowed me to do my work at a high standard. The most enjoyable part of my job was meeting new people and building relationships with co-workers.

Pros

free drinks machine

Cons

Not much variation in daily routine

Busy Busy Busy

Most days the same, printing off large volumes of emails, processing invoices for authorisation. Once invoices authorised each one coded and processed onto JD Edwards for eventaul payment processing. Daily & weekly BACS runs. Strict reconciliation of supplier statements on a monthly basis.

Challenging and fun place to work

Changing Purchase Orders, organising UK Freight, running reports, updating spreadsheets, checking prices and keeping everyone, including the suppliers, informed and up to date with the latest goings on were just some of the daily tasks I faced.A fun and friendly team to work with and always plenty of work to do and much to learn. Everyone welcomed a quizzical mind and were all great team players. Monthly team meetings enabled us to see how everyone was doing and the yearly targets set allowed everyone to put their skills together to reach the goal.Hardest part of the job would be prioritising the massive work load to maximise efficiency. Most enjoyable part of the job was succeeding in meeting the challenges and completing them.

Pros

challenging, friendly place to work, great bonus benefits

Cons

no cons.
