The holiday policy will depend on your role and what might be agreed as part of a contract. For couriers, cover for time off depends if you're a Lifestyle Courier or an SE+ Courier. As a Lifestyle Courier, holidays are self-financed from higher parcel rates (fair pay premium), as a SE+ Courier, you can enjoy paid holiday covered by Hermes (if needed) up to 28 days, holiday pay is based on your average earnings.
As a self-employed courier you are not under any obligation to provide services personally. You have the unconditional right to use a substitute to provide service on your behalf when you want to go on holiday, or if you are off sick.
