Sick leave policy is dependent on your role with Hermes. If you're an employee, this will be detailed in your contract. If in doubt, speak to a manager who will be able to point you in the right direction.
As a self-employed courier you are not under any obligation to provide services personally. You have the unconditional right to use a substitute to provide service on your behalf when you want to go on holiday, or if you are off sick.
