Ok job

It’s not too bad working there but was only there a short amount of time over the the Christmas period. Half the time they would book to many people and send you home so waste of time

Class 2 Driver

Trucks are old and knackered, but you can smoke in the cab which is a bonus. It's a driving job, could be worse, could be better. Overall it's decent, albeit the supervisors are questionable.

Okay place

Okay place to work. Not Fantastic pays the bills. Wouldn't really recommend. Management are not really Trained. HR are terrible and never pay anyone correct wages

Productive

I enjoyed my time at Hermes. Good money to be made if you can get a regular round with a good workload. May find you don’t make as much if you aren’t getting a good volume of parcels everyday

Management/supervisors do not care about their staff, no career opportunities , security horrible (no respect), no training etc.

Feel very deflated, upset, not valued, sad, and so on. Worse company to work for. They have really done a number on me, i could explain what they have done, but would anyone care.

Exciting

I love my days at work, no day is ever the same. Promotion opportunity throughout the business and on job training throughout. Great people to work for.

Not worth it with the rise in petrol costs

Minimum pay per parcel. Wage looks decent until you take off fuel and car running costs. Will need a decent sized vehicle to make it work. Plus side, easy to work round family commitments as can plan your own hours . 6 day week and extremely hard work over p3ak season

Pros

Can plan deliveries around home life

Cons

Fuel costs. Wrong banded parcels.

Hated the place

Hated every aspect of this job & I'm glad I'm no longer there!Management is a joke, staff are a joke, conditions are a joke, hours are a joke, pay is a joke, everything about this company takes the p*ss.

Pros

Cons

Long hours, short break, safety hazards

Annoying.

Stay clear of this company unless you enjoy a frustrating and stressful life. You will receive zero training and if you ask for a pay review as you are entitled to do, you will be told "No, if you can't do it for this money, we can find someone who can".Since I have left the company, I have been told by a current courier, that the rates have been cut again. Not a very good experience generally.

Cons

Very long hours

No too bad

Hi guysHermes is good place to work for young people or first delivery job.Poor salary but easy job. Some days you can look at after the cost of petrol and how long it takes, about £5 an hour. Well not worth it unless they just give you an easy round which they never do, they go to the ones that have been there for years

Productive and fun

Good place to work and the work will be mostly repetitive. Collegues are helpfull. Only difficulty is to get proper shifts. Some weeks there won't be any shifts.

Unbearably underpaid

Paying for your own petrol and mileage everyday is frustrating enough but the pay is shocking anyway. You are paid by parcel but it is pennies. And some of the routes have you delivering on A roads with places impossible to park meaning time between each delivery is long. Some days you can look at after the cost of petrol and how long it takes, about £5 an hour. Well not worth it unless they just give you an easy round which they never do, they go to the ones that have been there for years. Not worth it

Pros

Freedom of being out and about

Cons

Pay

Terrible employer

Worked my socks off for 18 months, never told you are expected to carry heavy machines and store point of sale in your home. Working hours are more like 72hrs a week and only get paid for 36 hours which is less than minimum wage. I gave my notice in the new financial year and was expecting my bonus for the year I worked my socks off often covering 3 peoples jobs! As sickness is very high in this company due to the stress they put their employees under. They didn’t pay me because I handed my notice in and their values say treating people fairly! They treat customers worst and the poor shops that do the service for them! You must be mad to work for them

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Lots

One of the worst places I’ve ever worked

Productive workplace

>A typical day at work: arrive at the warehouse, clock in, wait for the shift to start by either resting at the break room or helping staff set up the workplace, go to your designated area and work as instructed, and may get a break if your shift is over 6 hours duration. After shift ends, you get your belongings and clock out.>What I learned: Time management, manual dexterity, ability to work in a fast-paced environment>management: excellent>workplace culture: none that I can think of.>Hardest part of the job: The lack of breaks, often having to stand long hours during the work with little to no breaks>most enjoyable part of the job: colleagues

Pros

friendly staff and collegues

Cons

unstable shift pattern
