Job culture
A typical day involves managing time and communication to deliver a high standard of customer service within a cafe, restaurant and function environment to a broad clientele, from families to trustee members, from many different cultural and demographic backgrounds. Daily learning curves challenge my cultural awareness, ability to delegate and work within a team of individuals with a range of skillsets. Management and workplace culture reflect a real focus on developing the company and the relevance of its employees in the restoration of Hestercombe House and Gardens. Enjoy being able to apply previous catering and job experience to an intimate team and growing company environment while being able to value the location and vision of the venue as far as catering is concerned. However, I am not facing many challenges within this role as a full-time team member where responsibilities are limited.
