Cool place
Front Desk Supervisor (Former Employee) - London East, Greater London - 21 November 2023
Working in Hilton is a rewarding job, although manily I did it for a temporary job while I was looking for a new one. If you are good with people its great, otherwise not so much

Bad organization
Bartender (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 4 November 2023
Negative place to work, the people are not happy, managers are useless and they don't help in busy moment, I worked in other 5 stars hotels but that one is not, has just the name of the company... No training at all.

Stressful and lack of management
F&B Assistant (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 2 November 2023
The management was very poor and they didn't care about you at all. 90% of the time were understaffed and I was ending up doing 2 people's job which made our life very difficult and stressful. There was no training at all and I didn't even get an induction when I started. They just throw you on the floor from the first day and you learn most things by yourself. I put 2 stars and not 1 only because of my coworkers, we were a good team and had a good bond including the kitchen. They say Hilton is one of the best places to work but that's only if you are corporate team member and not in the hospitality sector.

Great benefits tough labour
F&B Assistant (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 1 November 2023
High expectation for income. Low staff respect but the rates on hotels can make up for it. Depending on shift times can be very late working on conferences

It is a good place to work and the boss is friendly. But housekeeping supervisor should not be hired from agencies which are not helpful and not friendly

Inequality
Breakfast Host (Former Employee) - Trafalgar Square, Greater London - 10 October 2023
•The beginning of shift starts perfect until it gets busy and stuff becomes unorganised (so you have to do extra work and not being rewarded) •Superficial skills were learned as for unexperienced employee, afterwards-you get blamed for not being deeply detailed in service job ‘curves’(as well as not being taught so)>that can be their reason of your dismissal •Managing stuff is rude, has no chain of command (general manager, supervisor) , as well as their ability of gossiping , and not fixing problem at the moment which is not professional as they talk about themselves
Pros
Free lunches, fair money share
Cons
Emotional pushing

Testing
Electrician (Former Employee) - Cornwall - 10 October 2023
At the end of this you have a written test and a practical test. After these two weeks you get into work, great social shifts surrounded with likeminded people. Don’t worry worry about someone not pulling their weight as the training is so good it makes sure everyone is up to a standard and not drag

Great place to work
Housekeeping Supervisor (Former Employee) - Glasgow, Glasgow - 27 September 2023
The work is very fast-paced, but it’s a good workplace. I enjoyed my time there. Break time is paid, and there is also free coffee/tea available during your shift.
