I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone
Badly managed job by some managers, not all them but most of them.. such a rush to get the job done they forget about safety and treat the men like rubbish

Worst place I have worked in my life
Avoid at all costs. You feel like your in a prison. Gave me anxiety and depression working there. The management are horrific. No people skills. Money might seem good but once you break it down it isn’t all that considering the hours you put in

Relaxed atmosphere
If you were in the military the process and the job are accepted more. The management are all ex military and expect everyone to understand the military way of life. Once probation period is over this changes at blink of a eye meaning make a mistake will put you on the benefit route as Hinkley is run like a military establishment. As ex military myself this is not acceptable.

More positives than negatives...
Long hours but rewarding work. On the whole the management are supportive with a strong and equally supportive union structure. Very good pay, conditions and leave. On site canteens are very competitively priced and the people here are generally good to work with. Plenty of overtime if that’s your bag too.

Poorly Managed
The team was just forming but was very disparate and poorly managed with little direction. The pay is rubbish as you have to pay your own lodge. They need to change their attitude to contractors in order to get this project built.
