Control Room Operator in Fareham

Good people to work with, poor senior management.
I love the job. Shift work can be hard if there is a quiet period. Shifts are 12hrs days and nights. Over time is plain time only. Senior management don’t listen to our ideas and most haven’t worked in Ops for years or ever and think they know best which damages morale.

now recruiting unskilled workforc3e
Disgusted - many persons promoted above their station and quality staff made redundant just dont bother unless you are a walt and want to wear a uniform
Operations Officer in United Kingdom

Good and bad
Long periods of inactivity, 12 hour shifts, day night weekends bank holidays. It's shift work with the positive and negatives that entails.Occasionally very busy. Occasionally very rewarding.

Beware
It’s roses till you criticise anything or have an invisible disability/illness. Ultimately I was fired for being autistic. Management didn’t do a thing to help despite asking over and over. No one was willing to get any education on autism even though it was offered in house from a different station. Management are a stubborn, out dated boy’s club out to protect their own at all costs, regardless ...
