Work life in prison depends in some degree on the attitude of your team mates and the prisoners who are there at that time.
Commaraderee was enjoyable when I worked in the service. I also liked the variety of skills I got to perform. Work place culture onstantly changes according to prisoners and staff attitude.No 2 days were ever the same.The hardest part was remaining non judgemental and being constantly safety vigilant.I learned more about nursing in the prison service ice than anywhere else in my role. Honestly its a horrible job. No work life balance..alot of stress HIGH STAFF TURNOVER as they cannot retain staff ..avoid at all costs.. I genuinely mean it its unhealthy..staff are always off with stress induced sickness

Challenging, overworked, no appreciation , underpaid.
All in all, not a nice place to work, if working with challenging people wasn't enough, try working with this type of staff! Not pleasant or rewarding at all, would never go back! DO NOT WORK THERE!
