dodgy management, lots people are two sided, stressfull with zero support from management, even if costumers treat you bad management is on there side, some people dont even last for a day as thats how they treat new people,if you ask for holiday mamagement will go first and probably you last and not when you want or have to,training is no existingwould never work there again, food if garbage, breaks are based on how long you been then so if you are new you will go last and probably no food left or given, overall bad place
Pros

you get treated like rubbish, are completely undervalued no matter how hard you work, and most of the time are doing the managers jobs while they sit in the offices doing nothing. "Free meals" were stale sandwiches and cold soup

Don’t work here. Incredibly boring and slow paced which makes the long days go extremely slow. Management and staff are cliquey and rude. Spoken to like garbage for something as basic as using the loo. Mistake applying there.
Pros
Absolutely nothing
Cons
Everything

It’s a nice place and company to work with but when it comes to paying workers you might not get all the money of the hours you worked for that’s the only problem there
Pros
Free food
Cons
Good hours

Awful Company to work for. Hours are long, breaks infrequent and work/life balance very wrong. Expected to work every bank holiday, including Christmas and New Year, every weekend and every event, and all for minimum wage! Never worked for a Company that wants excellence and in return for your hard work and commitment and personal sacrifices gives you nothing but more demands. Awful soul destroying experience. Has put me off working in Hotels for ever. Would not recommend working for Kew Green Hotels (franchise of Holiday Inn) EVER. No wonder staff retention is so low.
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
Unsociable hours minimum wage demanding customers

I worked at the Holiday Inn for ~2 years. Half doing F&B and the other doing Night Reception. The F&B part of the job was great and so was Nights. Just with nights you have to make sure you're ready to give up some stuff in your personal life. But, nights is pretty straight forward. You don't get too much bother. There is a great training programme and places to advance. Also, great deals on staff rates at other IHG hotels and you get rewarded for signing people up to the IHG club.
Pros
Great company rewards and hours.
Cons
Progression isn't the easiest.

Positives include bonding with your colleagues, the guests and bar work is kind of fun. However there is a lot that is wrong with this job. Poor management and hiring process, for example hiring staff with barely any English. The hours are absolutely awful. 5-6 days a week 3:00-11/12:00 shifts (because they have all the old and loyal staff work mornings as they are so much better and easier than nights, clear bias). Very bad and basic training. Usually forced into overtime and staying late after your shift has finished. Overall a pretty poor working environment
Pros
Free food and drink. Fellow colleagues
Cons
Long hours, minimum wage, pain to get to by public transport

Sometimes fast sometimes slow, Very relaxed and friendly staff management and guests, regular and loyal guests. Wages are living wage but benefits are great, free swimming free gym, uniform provided, meals on shift, among other benefits the longer your employment, great team and family feel always ready to give hugs and talk through any problem. all in all a great working environment. Must be multi skilled and sometimes the need to do multiple jobs is a real skill needed.
Pros
Meals on duty
Cons
Split shifts long hours for full timers
