Assistant managers are great
The team is great and this job is very sociable and can be fun however the new management which took over not too long ago made the work place sour with multiple leaving in quick succession, can be good but wouldn’t recommend.

Stressful! Definitely would NOT recommend
I was expected to know where everything was right off the bat, and I only worked the closing shifts. A team member would constantly be telling me that I was doing something wrong. I felt miserable, and it clearly showed. I've learned that you shouldn't have to work for/with someone who's not supportive. The management team kept saying that they'll support me, and they'll take time out to teach me everything, which never happened. The hardest part of the job was probably trying to summon the energy to turn up for every shift, whereas the easiest part was my day off.

Do not work here
The management at Maidstone are awful, the centre manager is only interested in money and make you work long hours and make you feel guilty if you have to phone in sick, the assistant managers are even worse they do not care about you’re mental health all they care about is of the shift is covered. All management do is sit in the office with there friends while you are rushed off you’re feet, managers always help themselves to stock! Avoid working here

All about making money!
Never have I ever worked for a company that is so unorganised, completely unsupportive and only cares about money. You work very long hours until stupid o'clock, sometimes until 3am and for very little pay. There is never enough team for smooth running of each shift meaning everyone is stressed and customers are always unhappy. There's a extremely high turnover of team, while I worked there I saw 63 team members, 4 managers and 2 centre managers come and go as there is constant issues with lanes breaking down, toilets flooding, rotten bar covered in fruit flies, faulty kitchen equipment, unhappy team that call in sick regularly on peak shifts and that's partly the same reason why I left. The main reason why I left was the lack of support from the centre manager who only looked out for himself, complained about everything and everyone and did nothing even when you told him your struggling. It should be a fun place to work but it's really not.

Fun place to work but not guaranteed working hours
I absolutely enjoyed my time during when I worked for Hollywood Bowl and with a great team around me but unfortunately the hours are not guaranteed and the pay is minimum wage so I had to make the decision to move on after a year but will always fondly remember my time with them and made some great friends in the process!!

They ask no questions, they just put you in groups and let you get on with it. Extremely unorganised.
