Unless you have a medical reason then no, you can't. The only time you can sit is when you are on your break which you sometimes don't even get if it's busy like weekends and school holidays.

Honestly the people that I work with are some of the nicest and funniest people I have ever had the luxury of meeting. Genuine friends both inside and outside of work. It's a shame there is no work life balance to spend time with them.

Bi weekly every Friday at midnight. I'm with Barclay's bank and I'm usually paid by 10 past midnight at the latest although I know people with other banks won't get paid til about 8am ish.
